Maybe they should create an isle in the supermarket for 'low narrow minded imbeciles' so it can cater for the likes of you (_

lol, please define low income immigrants? you comment about the ethnic isle is because they are ethnic. You can find the "caucasian" brands in the normal isle or the non ethnic brands. -_-

And then people wonder why we have such a bad rep when it comes to food.
Anything you cook can only be as good as its worst ingredient. Even if you have the most amazing recipe and execution to boot for a bol, using this junk it'll be mediocre at best.
It's only good if you can't or don't want to buy better.

Same price in Asda too I believe. They are good for the price, quality of supermarket basic ranges is not as good and often works out more than 25p each.

Quality of KTC i s very very low.
They primarily cater to low income immigrants, hence are found in the ethnic isles of supermarkets.

Poor watery tomatoes lacking in taste, best for price are the Lidl Italiamo range, although they are about double the price of these. What you save in KTC tomatoes, you spend on tomato puree to add some taste back when cooking spag bol, chilli con carne etc.

Not tried the tomatoes but their tins of kidney beans and coconut cream ranges are good.
We have Asda to thank for this pricing as previously you would get 3 for £1 but Asda introduced the 4 for a £1 and the other retailers followed.

The best quality vs price I can find are Cirrio. They are often on offer from Sainsbury's @ £2 for 4 tins. Great quality and 50p a tin.

Lidl miles better than these, sometimes they rival a decent tin of san marzanos. Top tip - when buying tinned plum tomatoes, give the tin a wee shake, you'll be able to tell if they're watery or in a nice thick sauce.

ktc take the lowest grade tomatoes and stick them in a tin and top it up with water. From my experience when I've used it for bolognese etc, it lowers the quality of the dish. Sorry

I've used these in the past. They are ok. They'll basically be as good as you are a cook.
