Tried mine, but can't see the tube that is used to suck the detergent out of the bottle into the machine. Is mine missing, do I need to by one separately, or am I missing something?

Can someone help- the hose that connects from the back of the machine to an outside tap... does this have to be bought separately or do any of the karcher packages contain one?

Also if it has to be bought is there a minimum length it has to be in order to work properly? I've seen ones as short as 2meters to 15m or 25m on a reel. I'm sure I've read somewhere that it shouldn't be too short? Can't remember where.

The biggest difference used to be the cheaper Karchers such as the K2 have a plastic pump.

Anyone knows if it comes with the water hose adapter? The part that connects the water supply hose to the pressure washer?

Depends what your using it on. Contact-less cleaning doesn't work at all on cars for example, you need a sponge or the brush attachment.

I've got this (karcher outlet, prob touch cheaper then this but was recon..but came with patio attachemnt/no brush) and fine for washing cars as its not powerful enough to do any real damage whatsoever, obviously if you have rust patches or flaking paint...you dont really want to be point directly at it as likley to chip or create further damage, but just a good wash...takes 2-3passes. Used with a snow lance, does a good enough job. Originally only got it clean to sort my engine bay as had a cracked mani and one side was caked in carbon...really surprised how long its held up given the abuse its had. worth £50 regardless

Not quite sure why my previous post isn't visible regarding a comparison between the K2 and the C110, but on paper the C110 is better as it has a longer hose, greater water flow and a metal pump amongst other things.

Received my C110 today, so will test it out over the weekend.

Ah yes, because the 5 quid hand wash really care about your paintwork don't they. They never ever, use the same sponge that they have on 500 other cars that week. Make sure you choose a handwash with them fancy blade devices, they never result in giant scratches across your panels. :smile:

I believe a dirty sponge and/or slight abrasion on a dirty car causes more scratches and swirls than a pressure washer. However I've never cleaned a vehicle older than 16 years so I'm not sure how bad the rubber seals can get.

You over-estimate the power of these domestic models (even the higher end k7 models)
They are far less powerful than the ones used at car wash places.

How does your car cope with hand car wash places that use pressure washers which are far more powerful than this?
Or even those car washes at petrol stations?

I think the only time a pressure washer can 'damage' car paintwork (unless you hit it with the pressure washer) is when it's already got paint or lacquer flaking off it.

Im sure it would be fine but it will make one hell of a mess unless its a wet room?!? :confused:

Biggest problem with pressure washers on cars is that they can force water into places you don't want it to go. It will find any seals that are weak and they will also get under stuck on trim and rubber parts.

To protect the paint you can spray only at an angle, but on a new car this will strip the protective lacquer.

So I prefer not to use pressure washers on cars, except for perhaps to make a quick job of the alloys with a bit of care taken.

I've got an XK and bought a K2 4 years ago, primarily for under body hosing it with a lance similar to this

With time and confidence in the product, I moved onto using it with the supplied lance on the body work. Simple thing with all tools is knowing how to use them. If you put ur hand in front of the spray, close to the nozzle it'll really sting your hand (and given enough time would probably take the skin off!), but put ur hand further away and it'll be as soft as clouds - use that as a gauge of how close you should get!

Of course, this isn't enough to wash a car - no substitute for a bucket and sponge/microfiber!

I recently got the K4 as we tried the K2 and found it wasnt quite powerful enough to give a really good clean. However i will say it was 3 times the price of this so still a great deal. We used this and got the outside tiles looking nice, but using the K4 it left them almost brand new looking.

I wouldn't use the brush that comes with it. I washed my new 36K BMW with the "Car Brush". Scratched my paintwork in about 20 places. Its going to cost about £400 to fix. I will never use the pressure washer again. Since then I stick to the £5 hand wash near my house.

Second that, I've got quite a small washer but one of the tips has enough pressure to cut through wood; this looks like it's been made for car cleaning, so you'll be OK.

Just don't blast the reverse sensors or they are £180 each , hence why I use a car wash as 3 got water last time I used a manual car wash

I had mine a few months. just the other day something went wrong and oil came out and water leaks.

As long as you don't use the dirt blaster you'll be fine. Have used my pressure washer for years on cars and no probs here.

I have the K2 Home & Car and use the vario lance on the car to wash off the snow foam that i apply using a autobrite foam lance (bought from Amazon) - i wouldn't use the blaster lance though as this is a lot more powerful (more for cleaning paving, fences etc)

Of course. You may do more harm than good and get things a little wet including electrics but it is possible - perhaps not recommended though

Unless you have bubble rust patches, or damaged paintwork, you're not likely to have a problem. I wouldn't expect a brand new BMW to suffer from either. And if you get the £49 model you can use the cash you might've spent on a more expensive model on a set of indicators :laughing:

Thats a fantastic price. Our old washer, similar to the one on sale for £73, came back wrecked after being loaned out. I've been told replacing the cylinder head should fix it, but I have no idea what would be involved in doing the repair and it either mightn't be the cylinder head, or I might balls up the repair. So £49 is a small price to pay for replacing it. I already have all the parts included with the £85 set. And if I can mount this one on the old trolley stand as well, it'll be a major plus.

The K4 model (130bar) is also reduced, now it's £142.00. Has anyone had any experience with both models, is the extra £93 worth it for the higher model?

This K2 unit seems impressive at this price as it knocks out 110bar.

Pay more and get a full kit with all the bits. I got a K2 for £27 clearance in Tesco and have spent a fortune getting a longer hose (essential), alloy brush, patio cleaner. It's cheaper if you get one of the kits with all the bits in already :disappointed:

Can I use this to clean inside the car..?

Picked mine up for around 30 from amazon but well worth 50. Karcher even gave me a bunch of free attachments because an unsmoothed bit of plastic on the trigger was giving me blisters.

got this last year and it's absolutely amazing. Needed it to clean paving stones and they look like new! would highly recommend this to anyone needing a pressure washer

Got one free a couple of months ago with coop house insurance. Crazy deal,the house insurance was only £140.... Didn't realise I needed a pressure washer until it arrived and now I pressure wash everything in sight. I think you need to be careful washing car wheels though, possible to make a hole in the tyre...

I bought one in March, paid slightly more. Did a great job on my mother's garden slabs. It seems to be well made, is light andportable. My only gripe is that is has no wheels. Bargain for the money though.

I have this and its great, i jetwashed the garden tiles and they look new.

Seems the revies on tesco say the hose is quite short, this is a concern for me, can anyone advise?

I've got this one. Its a nice machine for the money, but not that powerful. Fine for washing the car but I found it a bit weak for much else like cleaning patio slabs

Not very powerful compared to the rest of the range or to similar range models from rival brands such as the Bosch aqt 35-12.
But at this price this is a bargain.
