Domino's are fresh dough, pizza hut are frozen bases reheated.

24 Jun 17#29
Well it's frozen dough that is defrosted, a bit different from re heating a frozen base...

So what is better, fresh dough, or frozen dough defrosted?

Tried to order last night, discount taken off the cart but couldn't order as my order came to about £9 after discount and the store has a minimum order of 11.99 for delivery :disappointed:

Just in time for Grandsons birthday.. You cant go wrong with a pizza..
In my area the only major pizza chain that produces a decent product is Papa John's and even they're only worth buying when they've a deal on.
How Domino's and pizza hut survive selling poor quality pizza's for such insane prices is beyond me.
The last pizza I had from Domino's cost £16 and had a very thin layer of toppings and was lukewarm. My local independent take away does much better pizza's with loads of toppings for about a third of the price.

Our local pizza hut does any large pizza for £6.99 if you collect. I don't know if it's national or just a local deal ,give them a call and see if the same deal is at yours. good luck

They do a really good gluten free pizza base if anyone has been struggling to find one! Much better than dominos

In my opinion desserts and sides are better at Pizza Hut, pizza is better at dominos. When I say better though I am saying about a 4 out of 10 compared to a 3 as both are very bad

Yeah are in at one recently, you can get a similar result with an Asda pizza. The stuff at Pizza Hut is frozen dough that's heated up and defrosted. Used to be great but has gone downhill imo

This is now great with the £5 amazon voucher with £20 spend. At my Pizza Hut they have a "2 large pizzas and a classic side for £20", so combining that with the amazon voucher (which I will definitely spend) cost works out at £15 for 2 large pizzas and a side.

The amazon voucher is on vouchercodes website and expires on the 14th July.

Who buys this stuff without a 50% discount?
Not as good as Pizza Hut because they don't have that herb sauce. They must have complete fecking morons working there because they haven't replicated it yet. It would boost sales massively worldwide.

Yeah they're super annoying. I have a Pizza Hut delivery store which is a 5 minute drive away. But because I also have a Pizza Hut restaurant even closer on the other side which doesn't do deliveries, the one that does isn't allowed to cover my area. Something to do with fair competition between franchises. So counter-intuative because all it does is put people off using them alltogether.

When it says 50% off it means you lose 50% of the pizza. Good deal but I seen more content on a £1 Chicago town twin pack

Annoyingly, 50% off means I then have to add other stuff to push it up to £10.99 to get it delivered.
Honestly, I tend to go with their '2 large pizzas for £15.98' deal, and just put one in the freezer and reheat it next time I feel I need pizza.

Haha pizza is a massive rip-off from the get-go. This brings it vaguely to a normal price. It must be a UK thing because if you compare Pizza Hutt/Dominos prices to the other 'similar' countries like NZ, AUS and the US they are far far cheaper.

Sometimes I wonder if people ever buy these pizzas for NOT half price. The regular prices are just mental. It's not like it's gourmet triple A pizza, it's just Pizza Hut.

Can't complain about a deal so have some heat, but we tried Pizza hut
the other month and all four of us were so disappointed despite the bargain price we
paid ( I think it was £6.99 for each large pizza without us even asking
for a discount!!) I'll be sticking with Domino's for sure as it's far
superior. It's just a shame it's so damn expensive.... If anybody has a
domino's 50% off voucher, I'm all ears...
