My wife's got a couple of months to go on her EE contract. To get this I suppose I'd have to pay off her existing contract, port the number out and then port it back in.

You can select any colour in the 128gb model for £17.99 - doesn't seem that bad and no redemption to deal with.

Not really some apps can be pretty large in size, as can photographs..16GB alos is alot less because of the iOS and then update that are downloadded so16GB fills up pretty fast.

My previous contract was with them and I had no problems. It was a redemption deal and I received the cashback without any difficulty. I am not sure why they get such a negative press. My current deal is a with MobilePhonesDirect and that is also a redemption deal and that has also been fine.

Problem with this is its the 16GB model, so for an iPhone far too little storage.

2 years after release and Apple kill their devices with redundant code in firmware updates - for most people, this is conveniently at the end of their contract.
At least they release firmware updates after 18 months, unlike most phone manufacturers :innocent:

Or you could buy a 3GB RAM 64GB ROM Xiaomi and get a SIM with a 1GB monthly allowance for between 2 and 3 years, depending which model you went for.

Not only that, the Xiaomi will actually WORK with other OS systems, and not require all the faffing around you need to get anything off of an iDevice and onto a Windows, Linux, or Android device.

The writing is on the wall for Apple, even the Chinese are starting to see through them and dump the brand; only one of my Chinese friends has replaced his/her iPhone with a new iPhone.
(China being their biggest market, and their market share tanking over the past 12-18 months).

that's not good, on all other o2 posts a like new has had 10 months or more apple warranty left, the next grade down less than 6 months its always worth checking within the first 14 days how much is left and if there is none then returning it. :disappointed:

The SE is a decent bit of kit but on this site, 14 months is an old phone :stuck_out_tongue:

O2 like new SE with refresh comes in at £168 and they really are like new with up to 12 months apple warranty a plus net sim with similar data is currently £7.50 which over 24 years costs a little more but if you have the £168 o2 would be the better deal as it allows you the flexibility to change and not be stuck on a 24 month contract. Other than that not a bad deal.

I also have WiFi at home, work, shops etc. and never go over ~500Mb on mobile data

16GB is plenty, I've still got 5GB free on a 16GB phone and I doubt I'll need any more.
1 GB is also plenty for a data allowance, I have 500MB allowance and never use anywhere near that much thanks to WiFi being everywhere I go.

And a word for the SE, thank goodness for small phones that pocket so well.

16GB is useless. My gf has this phone and is constantly having to decide what apps to remove, what photo's to delete, deleting then reloading Facebook, etc etc. It's simply not enough these days.

The 16gb is the old model. The new SE version comes in 32gb and 128gb

People always say 16gb isn't much, but for a light user it's fine. I call, text, use the internet and listen to music on mine mainly. I have 23 albums and about 20 apps and still have plenty of space (over 5gb). Granted I don't take photos often, but when I gather a decent amount, I transfer them over to my computer.

I'm not saying it's suitable for everyone, I'm saying it's not unsuitable for everyone. :smiley:

The best deal is the o2 one combined with a pay monthly sim so when you find you are using more than a gb of data you can move elsewhere. And of course cash back which is an important part if this deal isn't guaranteed and sadly if anyone other than a mod had posted like this it would have been changed hours ago.

Such a great little phone. So powerful and it actually fits in your pocket. 16Gb is really hard to get by on though. If you can afford a bit more it's definitely worth it

I managed just fine with 16Gb for years. For photos as well as moving them to a PC Apple have their iCloud-based "Photo Library" - where full-resolution images are automatically moved over WiFi to iCloud and (if the handset needs space) only thumbnail-sized images are left for the indices.

Are mobiles.co.uk reputable? Saw a decent deal on there for a 7 plus the other day.
Reviews are mixed and according to some customer service is horrible (premium lines or massive hold times)
