The iPhone 6 is ageing. I've seen them go for £200-250 on eBay and you're then stuck with a 2 year contract. Ice cold for me - if you're that bothered about upfront cost just get a 0% credit card and pay off something better over the term of the 0%.

2 years out of date phone. Not only will it be too slow, Apple will push updates to make it even slower over time. Don't get locked into a nonsense contract. Cold.

Completely agree. I had no intention of upgrading my iPhone 6 to a 7 until it starting operating like a sloth a couple of months back. Apps would take up to ten seconds to load and browsing the web was irritatingly sluggish, especially on big websites with lots of content.
Doesn't sound like a big deal but trust me, it gets very annoying.
You'd be smart to not buy this iPhone 6 at all and simply stick with what you have or spend more and buy an iPhone 5 se or iPhone 7.
The 6 is pretty much entering complete obsolescence right about now

Hot. The 6S and 7 are aesthetically not all that different and I would bet this would suffice for most users technology-wise.

Hi
iOS 11 being launched in September is pure 64 bit so older iPhones wont be compatable.
Here's a list of iOS 11 capable devices:

The poster is using an Iphone 4S which is not iOS10 compatible either. So clearly not an issue for them.

Apps wont 'stop working' overnight. Signal and especially Telegram will last for years afterwards. Navi & even banking will not be effected for a period of years.
Relax.

This 32GB 6 has only just been released in the UK - I do not think we need to worry about the negative comments on this thread regarding the tech. This is not a 6S, it is not a 7 but neither does it carry their price tag - it is a contract aimed at those who either cannot afford or do not wish to spend more than this amount on an iPhone.

The SE is a fair chunk faster than the 6, I have an 6s (same CPU and RAM as the SE) and it runs absolutely fine and feels a bit faster than iOS9 because they sped up the animations.

Just so that I am in the know, is the iphone 5 se better than the 6 in this deal? In my simple terms, surely the 6 would trump the 5 se just because it is newer? Wouldn't future operating systems be obsolete on the 5se quicker than the 6?

It's just called the iPhone SE, and it's a newer device than the 6S, it's using the same internals of a 6S, but in an iPhone 5 style chassis / screen.
