For those that don't think this is a good deal can you put a comment as to why please. I'm looking for a 0% offer on credit card to buy daughters new bedroom furniture and a new cooker. The cold votes are putting me off getting this one.. thanks guys

Provided you know exactly how you are going to pay the money back within the 26 months interest free period and meet the minimum payment every month, then they are all alike I'd have thought? 0% is 0%.

if you think the furniture is going to be around £2000 get the Amex which will give you £100 cashback minus £25 annual fee.
Some people will always vote cold on credit card "deals" as they will save up and pay cash rather than taking on debt (and risk) by racking up a credit card bill. Mortgage is probably the only debt you could ever argue is "needed".

My partner just took out a similar deal with HSBC and we did lots of comparisons to find this one came out competitive to others. I would just say though that the interest rate slightly higher on purchases but we plan on clearing any balances within the 2 years anyway :sunglasses:
Yeah me too.. I won't be buying luxurious furniture, it will just be nice but not too costly so I know it will definatley be all paid off within 2 years.. I'm one of these that has stuck with the same credit card for 10years and only use it if I need to spend in an emergency then clear it over months.. but there's never any interest free period.. I don't know why I've not got another one sooner.

I use mine a lot, but always pay the whole lot back every month. Credit cards are fine as long as you never get tempted to think that it is your own money.
