I bought both on release (2 days apart). I decided to play horizon first which was amazing and took me 4 weeks (50 hours) to platinum. Been playing Zelda since the last 2 months. Both are great games, definitely horizon would be the one to fill that hole for you.

I played this straight after Zelda but by then I was a bit burnt out on open world action games, can't get into it :disappointed: Looks amazing though.

So I've reserved the game for collection. Not sure if I'll go for it though, if only because I know I won't be playing it anytime soon... But I don't think the game is going to be that much more cheaper come Black Friday.
I'm going to think about it over the day, and am glad that I at least have the option to not pick the game up (for now).
EDIT: Don't really want to be paying £50-odd for videogames this week as need to also buy a PS+ subscription from Shopto due to my existing one expiring in 2 weeks.

I think the shopto offer is better personally. The sackboy keyring and artcards seem to fetch good money on ebay.

Beat me to it in terms of posting this deal :sunglasses: looks the best price out there. Smyth's and Amazon both £29.99 anyway. Pay for delivery but free click and collect. I expect Argos will be running out of stock in their local stores much like they did with Hitman PS4 and Zelda Link Between Worlds 3DS following their price drops

9 Jun 17#18
Awesome! Even better deal.
Bear in mind Horizon is an Action RPG. The action part just happens to be better than most action games.
The release date near Zelda got Nintendo fans into a frenzy. The games are nothing alike otherwise.

Two closest stores have no stock and I'm not paying £4 delivery. I want to grab it for £25 - it is the price I like to bite at. I'll keep an eye on stock levels or hope another retailer with sensible delivery charges matches.

Big difference and a lot easier to follow. I enjoyed it , I'm a Xbox guy mainly but play PlayStation games , this was my first platinum trophy as I enjoyed the game so much. Tempted on picking up again to play it.

Well worth it. I've been playing it since release on the 'very hard' setting and still have about 15% to finish the game. That's about 4 months of playing and collecting everything. It's the only game I've been playing, despite having Sniper Elite 4 and Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Best game since Red Dead Redemption in my opinion!

9 Jun 171#41
It's an ok game. First 2 hours are awesome but you quickly realise it's just fetch quests and shooting the same weapons at slightly different looking dinosaurs.
Also the armour set upgrades are pointless and the levelling up system is pretty pointless too. Worth playing but boggles my mind that people are calling this a classic. Doesn't come close to the quality of Witcher 3.
Ken9041
9 Jun 17#42
you get different set of weapons, you need to be smart in regards to the armour set you use. or just get the ancient armour which makes you op in the game.
drummerdickens
9 Jun 17#43
Well I completed it on hard without changing armour once so no, you don't. The armour sets are way too specific so you can't reasonably go switching it every time you meet a new enemy. Huge hassle and not particularly well designed.
And the weapons, meh you use some different weapons sometimes but you'll find yourself using the standard bow the vast majority of the time.
Ken9041
9 Jun 17#44
So most of the things you complain about are there to be used but you didn't, also in regards to the weapon set you get to upgrade to more powerful ones, at one point my bow could get to fire 3 sets of arrows at once which helps.
drummerdickens
9 Jun 17#45
I didn't complain they weren't there. I complained that the mechanics of the game made them redundant. Because they are.
There are a lot of skills you learn that you will never use, for example shooting from balancing ropes and dragging enemies off a ledge (think I used that once actually).
Genuinely there are ton of holes in this game. Very pretty and fun for a bit but the gameplay and mechanics are far from perfect.
OH and sometimes it get to choose your dialogue, choosing threatening, smart or loving answers. Has absolutely NO bearing on the game. Forgot about that!
Ken9041
9 Jun 17#46
shooting from balancing rope helped me in one of the hunters trial
dragging enemies off a ledge is good when going into bandit camp stealth mode
Most of this things is all dependent on how you approach the gameplay.
Also your last point when I chose to kill one of the character it affected the ending for me in terms of the number of people that will help in the fight and also trophy

Choosing to kill that person that challenges you to a fight has no bearing on the trophy you're referring to. I killed that person and still got the trophy. The trophy is dependant on if you completed certain side quests, you must have missed a vital side quest.

It's a fantastic game, I wasn't that enthusiastic about it based on what I'd seen, but on release I watched the first couple of hours on a stream and gave it a go. I enjoyed it so much I went for and got the Platinum trophy, a rarity for me.

what keyring and artcards? it dosent say anything about that on shopto
Completesavings co uk...in my case, as soon as I've placed the order, an offer popped up saying that if you sign up now to completesavings, you get £15 into your bank account (30 day trial, £15 pounds monthly afterwards, you can cancel earlier if you wish). Completesavings is one of those subscription services where you get cash back and discounts with different shops.
