This is such a personal preference thing. You just have to try a few until you find one you're happy with. I have used the Formil one in the past for washing rugby kits and it was fine, the smell is not fowl or even foul. I like Bold and Fairy but will often just buy a different one if the price differential is sufficient

Lidl formil. Honestly i used to only ever use Ariel, nothing else and then i tried formil. It's brilliant.

Awful stuff, smells fowl and it's like someone has put itching powder in it. Aries excel gel (original) all day long

Costco do their own Kirkland washing powder I swear by it and its non bio so doesn't cause my skin to break out like some of the top brands - give it a whirl it's about £12 ish for 400 washes ! Great on stains !

I want Daz tablets, they seem to only appear randomly in the discount shops

I always bought the Daz liquid @ £1.99, but they don't seem to stock it anymore in my local HB...

Watched a tv programme recently, 5 T shirts all stained exactly the same, 4 of the top brands used along with Tesco own brand, strangely enough, the Tesco one washed better than all of the more expensive/popular ones!
