So I had bought this few months ago in a deal for 18 pound and been using it works flawlessly. dual camera really handy.this can also be used as reversing camera if you position in right.
the back camera does not need power (ignore the wires). it hooks into main front unit.
For the price video quality is quite reasonable and the screen have split view for both camera.Wires are long enough to hide properly in side and reach all the way back.

Help!! I bought this while it was on offer. Very impressed so far. But i cant seem to set it to delete the oldest clip. The setting i believe it to be is the 'boot video' setting. Help

Is it powered by USB cable or AV cable? I can see both sockets on the main unit, but it looks like the AV socket may power the rear camera? But the cigerate lighter/power connector doesnt have a usb fitting on the end. So what is the USB socket for if not for power?

they are all made in china, it's just a higher built quality, but all the stores which they selling stuff like that comes from china, they just select better quality, which you can do on aliexpress by paying a little more

Cable looks good, Does it go in to the fusebox directly? Anything else required, eBay listing doesn't have much detail.

Yes you wire it direct to a fuse preferably one thats post ignition, and then you would connect the black cable to the body of your car.
you can get fuse splitters like this, connect the live to the red cable, and then connect the neutral black to an earth (car body) and your away.

Heat just for your effort in fielding all these questions - even the stupid ones! Personally I prefer the quality of the Mobius - I know its not dual cam, but I'd just buy two and stick it in the back window! No need to respond, I appreciate this would cost about 4x more than this one

Yeah, its back cam in night time. day time its better.Yes, there is a quality difference in front and back recording. But then something is better than nothing at all.

If you want to hard wire a dashcam you'll need something like this that gets connected to a +ve feed that is switched by the ignition. ebay.co.uk/itm…922?var=&hash=item3d3a40d312:m:migvyaPZXtGcSN_6S4w0O0Q

where in earth do people think the expensive ones are manufactured?

Maybe because they read the specs?

Because what will you do when ting pong sends it and the specs don't match? Nothing, shipping it back to China wont happen. You people honestly think you get top quality from sweatshops in back streets? These are at best cheap tat and at worst a total fire hazard. Like Wing Wong earns 5p a day really doesn't care if it sets your Lexus sets on fire, he is more bothered about the bayonet in the back is he makes less than 30 an hour. Lots of stuff made in China for big companies is made under strict license and is EC tested and approved for safety. If not the multinational company will find another supplier. 1920x1080 really? Quite happy with 640x480 and interpolated.

Yeah Yeah, NAH!
Cheap Chinese copy, everything about this camera will be fake, faulty or pure tat. Good luck leaving this sweatshop junk in your car plugged in. Do Ali Express sell fire alarms? They won't work because they will be cheap tat too but you might want to buy one. I never understand why people think these will be anything more than 640x480 interpolated crud.
Don't bother wasting your money!
I think I was at Tesco or another supermarket the other day and they had cheap dash cams that were 720p interpolated.
BUY AN ETCHA-SKETCH THE QUALITY WILL BE BETTER.

For the price range this looks very good and the video quality seems just about ok, I however would never use one of these in my car simply because of the fear of some crack head trying to nick it when i'm away from the car. If you can afford the extra £30 I highly recommend a Mobius camera for permanent in car use because they are tiny and just about impossible to see from the outside if positioned carefully plus the video recording is way better than this camera but obviously they cost more . I've had one hard wired in both family cars for about two years and they work automatically and flawlessly without even noticing they're actually there.

That footage is poor quality. For what it's intended use is (to use as evidence in crashes) think I'd prefer to spend a little more and get better quality. Good find, but not for me. Thanks

Agreed, but accident happens mostly in close view and close view quality is in my opinion clear enough (plates can be easily read).also I haven't found a good quality dual camera here in UK for reasonable price.
