Found this short-term offer via uSwitch at Mobiles.co.uk. £22.99/month + £50 up front = £601.76 This is for a new contract, not an upgrade.
The phone alone can be found for £499, and 2-years SIM-only on EE costs at least £250 for 2GB data with unlimited minutes & texts. To get the same phone & tariff as a monthly contract via EE or Carphone Warehouse was coming out at about £840.
I'm not a big data user - I've never come close to the 1GB limit on my current contract, so 2GB will be enough for me going forwards. However I am a photographer and quite like this phone's camera features.

I do have BB with them but my deal comes to an end in July and I'm wary of tying myself in to one of these double data deals. My point is, if I took this contract deal, these cheap tariffs may not be around in 24 months time when the contract ends.
Hopefully the price of the handset will drop when the Pixel 2 is released.

If you're w/ plusnet bb, you get double everything - meaning 2Gb, 1000mins, 2000sms. Not worth changing just to save 60p a month, of course.

Well I just called to cancel and they offered me a free month's line rental. I cancelled anyway, but worth thinking about threatening to cancel if you get a free month?
I agree, it's not that unusual, but I can't get reception from Three where I live and to be honest the 4G signal isn't that great here either, I'm not with BT (landline with Plusnet) and the Plusnet £5 deal is a little low on the minutes.

Hah! I have the same life deal too and was too thinking about this!

£5.95 is good and low-hassle but not unusual otherwise - Three currently offers 4Gb simo deal via quidco for £5.67 pm. I signed up for BT Mobile's 2Gb simo last month, works out (as a BT customer) at £3 pm. LIfe Mobile, now Plusnet do a 1Gb simo for £4.40ish w/Quidco (or £5 w/o).

Anyone else get this?
I've had something like this before when ordering mobile contracts. My credit score can't be an issue.
Although this is a good deal, I'm probably going to cancel as I'd lose my legacy Life mobile contract 1000 mins (which I hardly use), 1.5Gb of data (which is plenty for me) and unlimited texts for £5.95 and I'd unlikely get anything around the same price at the end of the contract. I don't like being tied into long contracts and prefer to buy handsets outright, this was such a good deal though.

There is also a deal on 5GB, £27.99 with £25 upfront cost. Works out £4 per month more for more data. Just taken that one. There is also £35 cashback from Topcashback.

You have to go through a special link on the site to get cashback, so you're too late I'm afraid.

Would the additional line 10% be applicable for this if put on an existing account?

I've not used either of these before. Would it be too late to sign up now and get the cashback after the purchase?

Hmm.. 2GB isn't much. Good deal apart from that

I also found a 5GB contract for £696, and even an 8GB deal for £696 after £95 cashback redemption - both at Mobiles.co.uk

Awaiting the announcement of the Pixel 2 before I decide on what to upgrade my HTC One m8 from , heat for the price though, good if you use low data

Just ordered one, hopefully it will be better than my ageing LG G3 and it's temperamental camera, that refuses to take photos at times!!

Yeah it's a pity as otherwise the phone is excellent.

If only it had an SD Card slot

I agree that would be ideal. Lifetime Google cloud storage for original photos is useful for some, but it's not the same as a separate card.

When I spoke to Mobiles.co.uk , they said it was a part of a range of short term offers to meet their quota of EE sales, so don't wait long if you're tempted.
