Seems all these deals are making way for the Pixel 2 , excited to see what they announce later this year , still using my 3 year old HTC one m8 and think it's about time I treat myself to a new one , always wanted the pixel phone but I've held back because I wanted to see the OnePlus5 which I'm going to avoid
Still expensive for a year old phone but it's still supposed to be one of the best

I'm not sure I understand all the heat given for this and the Pixel XL deal.
Firstly they are rumoured to be replaced by the Pixel2 in October so premium prices are still being charged by Google for last year's phone. Maybe the prices are staying high because Google is getting even greedier and will charge even more for Pixel2 so rumours say.
Secondly do the Pixel phones really merit prices on a par with iPhone 7 and Samsung S8?
I bought a Nexus6 in early 2015 for just over £400 and if I now want a Pixel XL it will cost me £620 at CPW - a 50% increase.
Sorry Google but you have lost me as a customer. Once my 6 dies that will be it and I will have to look for a mid range phone.
£400 for a mid range phone???
The world has gone mad!!

It's the best phone out there and has the best camera and great support from Google. I had a nexus 6 but bought an XL on launch day- it's been brilliant- fast, smooth and fantastic camera. This is a great deal.

Agreed!
You're also missing how well the Nexus 4 was priced and then the Nexus 5 increased. Now they're taking us for a ride after showing us what they're capable of

I'm on a Unl. calls/texts and 7GB data contract with EE for £44 a year after cashback, it was the deal from Mobiles.co.uk in February and it popped up again a few weeks later. I had a similar deal last year too, so it's not like it's a one off.

I thought it was Google Pixel XL...
32 GB version is £499.99 sim free at Carphone Warehouse (which is I personally think is overpriced), surely you can find a better sim only deal for £196.77?!
