Hey guys. It's that time, again. The Gog.com Summer Sale has kicked off. They're offering a free game with your first purchase.
Eurogamer have their own section on the sale with their personal picks which can be found here.
As with all sales, there will be a few good deals, and some not so many. I'll get in what I think is worth a highlight in. If you see anything, please feel free to let me know so I can add
Additionally: Alan Wake's American Nightmare FREE when you spend $10 -EQL

I bought my stuff last week. Just checked the Terms and it will be applied retroactively, to all sale purchases above $10.

Nice surprise, a free copy of Alan Wake: American Nightmare has just turned up in my inbox in addition to getting Rebel Galaxy earlier. I don't remember that being advertised originally.

It's a new promo when you spend $10 on the store.

Yeah, shame its owned by Microsoft. Therefore a GOG release is out of the question and there will never be a re-run or enhanced edition. The supposed sequel Star Citizen is more a pay-to-win cash cow, so don't hold your breath on that.

Absolutely loved Freelancer. Such a great game back in the day. It needs some kind of revival.
Rebel galaxy you get an email for with a code after your first purchase in the sale.

Hmm, I just made a purchase and no free game is showing. Admittedly it was only cheap (Z: the Game at 89p) but I can't see anywhere saying there is a minimum amount you have to spend?

They've updated the banner to show the free game as Rebel Galaxy if that helps?
Dex is only £2.39. Which is the cheapest it's been.
Also Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice preorder gives back £1.70 GOG credit so it's only £23.29 if you are picking something up in the sale anyway.

Groovy! Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom is on sale @ £2.89 (with 10p credit). Been hankering for it since it was added to GoG earlier this year. Last of the series of Impressions city builder games alongside Caesar, Pharaoh and Zeus.

Hmmm even adding Rebel Galaxy to an order doesn't seem to be dropping the price.

ah, was I supposed to add it at the same time as the game I purchased? I just assumed it would be added automatically. Guess I better get in touch with them see if they can sort it out manually for me. Seems stupid not to auto add it if you are entitled to as who wouldn't want a free game?
