I know there's a lot of hype surrounding Intel's upcoming releases, but if you're upgrading your current Skylake or Kabylake Motherboard, this is worth looking at. Or indeed if you're building a new machine anyways.
The cooler is around the £30 mark, so taking that into account, it makes the board £64.97, not a bad bundle at all, really.

Belongs in the Computing section, not Gaming.

Technically it can be both, but it is more to do with computers.

Good board and was excellent value at full price, doesn't get the respect it deserves because it doesn't support SLI which 99% of people won't use anyway.

Every time I buy a new GPU, I say "Will get another in a couple of years, instead of getting the latest" At least the last 10 years or so... Yet to happen

True. But people like to spend extra on upgradeability that they'll never use.
It's a case of "more power" syndrome.

I usually buy a gen behind, but then have always been looking at upgrading!
Last year I bit the bullet and bought a 1070 and have yet to consider upgrading  Currently gaming at 1080 144hz though, and don't see 1440 as enough benefit for the outlay. As soon as they crack 4k 144hz I expect i'll be throwing money at new gfx + monitors haha

Am on a 980TI and plan to be for a while yet, I tend to hang back for a sweet spot in the market, used to do that on all components. Went from an i5 2500 (Non K) to a 3570k. Managed to make £5 after buying the new chip. Not always so easy though. My wallet thanked me though.

I'm very thankful in the minimal improvements on processors over the years, saved a fortunate! Currently on a 4570 non k and have no intentions of upgrading for a while!

Looks like a good mining board too given the Asrock ones seem to be totally out of stock everywhere now.

So looking at this I could buy it and use my I5 2500k with it and look to upgrading my cpu at a later date? Would that work? That way I can have ddr4 ram? Maybe I've read it wrong...

No that CPU wouldn't work with this board, it is also not on offer anymore.
