Went to the Luton store last year looking for lighting sound like they are still sorting it out, it was a mess then,
It is too far off my normal routes to bother again unless I know they have something.

Luton's like a bombsite, I'd be surprised if they knew what they had in stock or where to find it, I asked in the garden centre bit but didn't get much joy.

Stock check says 2 of the Saxon inked.

No carts whatsoever in Luton when I got there yesterday.

Could give them a call and see if they will price match.

They also have a non dumper saxon 75ltr 200kg poly cart that uses steering the same as the Draper cart. so for those that are not good at driving won't get the wobble.

I have found that Homebase stores have a lot of stuff that is not on the web site since the change to Bunnings
also any visit is a lottery on what will be on offer in a store.

There are 3.55m platform(5 way) ladders by syneco @ £39(were £59) in some stores
a good price but available at around that in a lot of places quite often..

I bought the gorilla cart from Cheltenham branch homebase , apparently they originally sold for £89 , I bought the last one they had left that had been in store for over a year For just £20 , you can tell it was originally more expensive as the build quality is far superior to anything like those green naff ones they sell for between £40 and £50 .
And it's a tipper to so you can use it like a wheelbarrow etc

Ok dropped into Leighton Buzzard store to pick up something.

They have 2 Gorilla at £70.
Guess £20 was a good price.

Would be fairly easy to restrict the turn if you cant drive when loaded.

Built mine this morning the weak point is probably the dumper hinge point.

Like the way the blister pack all bolts in order of build. Judging from reviews going back a few years they have fixed some of the flaws on this product.

Works for me :smile: - we got another friend pretty much an entire camping setup for free from stuff other people had left for her and her kids to use at another festival!

When you're paying maybe a tenner each for a rat-burger with chips and a drink, £250 for the festival ticket, £45 car parking (that's 300% inflation on the parking ticket in 7 years!) and so on - I'm not surprised that people aren't bothered by other kit being merely an expense of the festival too.
For most, it's very much a festival for the rich consumer.

Me, I'd prefer to throw those away amounts of money on motorcycle trackdays instead, which could be seen as the same 'waste' .

Which Homebase?

The folding ones are not very sturdy at all - at least going by the number abandoned around Glastonbury last year with bits missing etc.

I got two and a load of spares from others from said ones to make two good ones for some friends.

These things are awful, they cannot withstand the elements, will rust and fall apart in no time.

I have a very similar cart to the gorilla one, have found it most helpful for moving items around the garden.. its about 2 years old, and still going strong, left in the garden quite a lot in all weathers.. I am not a fan of the metal ones.. even in store they seem to already be rusty.. but I will agree if you pile it high (mine says can take 75kg loads) its unstable (but what isnt).. used as a general wheelbarrow (spinal injury means I can't use an ordinary wheelbarrow) its moved around several concrete slabs, and pots.. so all in I am very impressed.. not so much with the metal ones...

Would love to find a Gorilla dump truck, I will have a look in my local Homebase if I get a chance, thanks heat added

Could you kidly confirm where they keep them in the store, is it outside with the wheelbarrows or inside the shop ?

I don't think it was much more, because when I was looking into buying a garden cart the other month I looked at that one because it was cheap. But I decided it was rubbish because the front axle pivots on a bolt that is just welded to the front cross-member. This is absolutely the failure point for cheap carts. You put a moderately heavy load in the cart, turn the front wheels to pull it away, and all the load is on that one point. Sooner or later that point will bend or shear off and the cart becomes useless.

I still haven't found a decent garden cart at a cheap price. In fact because the cheap Chinese carts seem much of a muchness I think I will not bother with one. I have been looking at professional quality balance carts but I balk at the price, though of course one of those would pretty much last for ever if looked after. These cheapies don't shout longevity, or even ease of use, to me.

I don't see much in the way of deals for garden carts on their website. The one linked to is only under £3 off. Why is this deal getting vote hot?

also if you do a sharp turn the front wheels are under the cart and it becomes precariously unbalanced at the font if the load is there.

These carts are great for the first week then a tyre goes flat,it gets fixed then another immediately goes flat and on and on.?....

any idea what the folding one looks like ?
