I bought these last year on offer at £7 or similar from Homebase. They are a touch flimsy but worth going to a timber yard and getting some cheap 6mm plywood cut to size for the shelves. Increases weight capacity and adds to sturdiness. Only cost an extra 10 quid for 12 precut pieces. Worth doing imv

Isn't 10 regular price for these? B&Q, Homebase, etc. These can be good, in addition to not being the strongest, they are also not very deep at 30cm.
I find the larger/deeper option at Screwfix (screwfix.com/p/h…17r?) can be a better choice for 20.

I bought 2 last week for the loft (just boarded it out). I thought £10 was their normal price or I'd have posted this myself! Considered the plastic ones sam800 mentioned (post #8 ) for £12 but more storage space on these and the lowest shelf sits higher from the ground, which is perfect for me as I can place it over the bathroom's soft pipe vent that will need protecting from my clumsiness now that I'll be up there more often. Heat added

Is mining worth doing with uk energy prices?

You will need to check what tariff you are on. Mine works out about £8 extra a month but thats only running 4 rx460's. Im lucky that I do have a miner setup in work so I can buffer some funds so getting free electric but...if you dont have equipment now, you are going to pay for very over inflated prices (hence why im on 460's until my order of 570's come in) and with the price right now, probs best buying the currency.

Funny you should say that. This is exactly what mine are stacked on in the garage

I bought roughly 13 from Homebase last year and I have 3 sitting in my garden assembled waiting for their new location to be built. Galvanised and still clean although I used galvanised bolts rather than supplied affairs. The others store 4 x 10kg of flour, 22L homebrew, tubs of protein/mass powders, 3 high columns of a 8 rows of tinned goods, power tools and the only easy way, other than overloading suddenly is to lift the assembled units by the leading edges of the shelves - they bend so easily in that form.

Thanks OP and zpa78. I rreserved from homebase. B&Q had stock but would not let me rreserve or buy saying update your web browser again. For mobile purchases they should say which web browser they support or better still sack their web designer and get a new one!
