This is't that good a deal, I mean unless you only want 3 months of Live, or unless I've missed something here

You can pick up 12 month for £35, or 12+3 months for £42 from CDKeys. Add the game to that and it's £51 or £58, both of which are cheaper than £60 (which this equates to at £15 for 3 months).

Not trying to hate here, just pointing out it's cheaper to do it other ways if you plan on having Live for a long time

This post makes no sense whatsoever!

However cheap you can get 12 month of Xbox Live... if you want this game you're basically getting the 3 months free (in fact for -£0.99).

I get £15 isn't a good deal for 3 months XBox Live, but the whole point is the deal they've posted includes the game.

Getting a decent deal on 12 months and then paying an extra quid to get the game plus no 3 months free is madness!

If you want the game and more than 3 months Live, sort a decent deal on 12+ (i.e. cdkeys) and then enjoy 3 months on top free when you get the game with this offer!

Just realised they are both digital so it's too much hastle for me, got live for another year anyway and rocket league on my ps4, if i could have sold the game or live code to get the other one cheaper i would have done it but digital is murder to sell anywhere :disappointed:

You can play solo, or splitscreen up to 4 players, but online is where it shines. It achieves the rare feat of being brilliant fun even if you're terrible at it

To be fair he has done the maths there and proved that it isn't a brilliant deal... for those that do like to use their free time to wheel and deal.. I see what you mean... I have bought this as it seemed a good deal on the face of it... but maths doesn't lie.... for those sticking with live constantly... better deals are out there.

Are there any advantages of having a physical copy of the game over downloading it as it is here? Bought my Son this game 3 days ago, so might take it back and say it just won't load, hopefully get a refund, and then buy him this deal.... then he's up 3 months of gold :wink:

Apart from the ability to trade it in when you're finished, no, there are no advantages. A digital copy is actually far more convenient, as you don't have to put the disc in to boot it up.

Digital game you cant.

I prefer digital to be honest, no worrying about discs getting scratched and I'm lazy so not having to get up to put a new disc in works for me!

And the beauty of rocket league is they keep adding free stuff to it, more game modes, more arenas, it is a much bigger game than when I first bought it. The next big update is July 5th which will bring even more stuff to it.

Or using your logic, you could buy this for £15 and get 3 months xbox live with the free rocket league code, and then buy 12 months separately for £35 on cdkeys. Effectively giving you 12+3 months live and a game for £50, making it £8 cheaper than your option!

How is this not a deal again...?

I’d hardly say I’m clueless, it was an oversight that I missed the 4 copies of Rocket League if you buy 4x 3 months. No need to get all uptight about it, in my original post I did say I might have missed something and I was hardly slating the deal, just trying to save people money

It's a bit of both, but nobody really speaks with their headsets on it even if they are toxic, most players only use the text feature to provide you with a bit of "you suck" or "you're sh*t" haha!

Renewed Xbox Gold for my son about a month ago - 12 month subscription.
A couple of weeks back, he wanted to buy Rocket League, as his friends were playing, and I was surprised the search came back with to get it free or pay £15.99.
Naturally I got the free one, assuming it might be a trial, but no he has been playing online with friends ever since.

So if you already have Xbox Gold, you may be able to get free
