Yes that is exactly what it is - a cheap marketing ploy! Newsflash: There is no such thing as a free dinner.
50 people in each location get to try the product for free and, hopefully, tell all their friends how good the burger is.
It's actually pretty risky because the burger might be rubbish and they'll tell their friends never to go!
Seems like a fair deal to me.

No business in the world will give up handing out promotional freebies on a limited basis. What exactly are you against?

Because this type of Free is a cheap marketing ploy. If many ignore, they'll stop such tactics.

Steaks can be medium rare as bacteria dies on surface of meat when flash fried. For burgers the steak meat is minced and formed into a patty. That bacteria is now inside the burger and won't die off by flash fry. It needs cooking right through to be safe. Hence the new advice surrounding medium rare burgers. Especially for children, older people etc.
There's anger over everything on this site. Anyone would think they were asking people to pay for the burgers or something ridiculous like that :stuck_out_tongue:

50 per location. Would've fancied it had I wanted to eat a burger for breakfast.

I'm very sensitive to alcohol and I couldn't taste it in this burger. The cheese has a weird gooey consistency.

turn up 'sorry 50 taken seeing as you're here do you want to buy one ?' Another marketing ploy where they probably only give 5 away so they can dispute any non believers and increase their sales from people who wouldn't have normally turned up. Boycott good idea on cheap tactics. I have more respect for chains that say Dad eats free when another meal purchased for father's day etc.

Scotland banned medium burgers so will need to go to England for a burger fix. Or they could switch from grass-fed beef to grain so they burgers aren't so dry when over cooked.

Offering 50 per location isn't treating people like beggars - queuing for ages is acting like one though. If you don't like the fact they're offering 50, don't go. Simple.
The sense of entitlement on people at the moment is out of control.

Only 50 per location? Stop treating people like beggars. Cold! Boycott if you are against such mad deals like last year's Black Friday Store Deals. Feel free to stand in queue if you like being treated like one.
