went in to collect mine today, said order had been cancelled. however they called the warehouse and they said they had 400 in stock now so ordered another and collecting tomorrow. unsure why they cancelled orders and didn't just use the stock they have now

Had a call from my local store this morning telling me that their warehouse doesn't have any trimmers in stock and that I should ring head office to get my refund.. What kind of **** is that?! Why is it that I have to waste my time and money (if I didn't have all inclusive tariff) to call someone to get a refund because of their screw-up!

You want a cordless strimmer but they are quite a bit more expensive than this one. Lidl do one a few times a year for about £40 and the sheds have them for about £50. You might be able to pick up a used one on the bay for about £20.

You can rewind the spools yourself if you cut off the outer plastic ring. You can use any cheap spool wire of the right diameter.

I found the bump-to-release line feature of my older B&Q one is pretty poor, it's much quicker to flip it over and press it in manually.

Bad reviews from B&Q. looks identical. They talk about having to untangle it every 10 seconds. That puts a new light on it. 10 reviews 5 good 5 damning.
