This £189.99 price is already a sale price which everyone has price matched. And last time this was on sale it was £199.99, so the sale price alone was a good deal.
So yes of course it is a good deal to then get it £20 less than everyone elses already good sale price. This is actually lowest I think I have seen this.

I think you can discount the refurbished part, making any difference at all, as I am sure you will find that most people who have bought them received pretty much new items. I will agree with the warranty being less, not sure if it's worth £20 though.

No completely disagree. Firstly refurb is not new. It might be "pretty much new" but still not the same thing. The 5 year warrenty I received today with my new Dyson is definately worth £20 as compared to a 1 year one.

We bought the fluffy version when Argos had it for 169. The motorised heads are far more effective than the normal attachments. Tried to clean the car out yesterday and the micro head did a decent job on the carpets, whereas the normal attachments (are interchangeable with our DC33) were hopeless.
Was a bit aprehensive about spending so much but it means you can do a quick vac of a room on an ad-hoc basis without getting the big hoover out, and those Dustbuster type things have always been useless in the past, so was happy to spend more.

Got the v8 absolute and it is superb, so convenient to use and easily as good as any upright (v8, not sure on v6 but imagine close).
Would recommend looking for the v6 with soft floor head if this hasn't got it though, great on hardwood floors

Thanks for the heads-up, my dyson just gave up after 7-8 years and was in the market for one luckily... went with the dc40 though for £199 and used the voucher code, also had some rewards to come from tesco too, so used that as well, making it a grand total of £143 and free named delivery as I have tesco delivery too. Getting it tomorrow

How underpowered is v6 compared to a normal cord vacuum? I had a quick look on internet and it seems most of the vacuums are over 200 ams and this V6 is only 100. Really tempted to go for this for my new apartment. But I don't want to get stuck with a product which is considerably underpowered compared to traditional hoover.

I've got both and yes Henry is better in some cases but this thing is so much easier to move around the house, much less likely to die falling down narrows stairs while vacuuming and no cord to trip over. I love my Henry as much as any man can love his vacuum cleaner but I must say this Dyson is impressing me quite a bit and the wife loves it despite the lack of cheeky face which Henry has.

It's £189 directly from Dyson with their handheld tool-kit, which I think is pretty useful
Lidl have a cordless handheld for 49.99 at the moment, how do they compare? Its suction power is 8 kPa and the Dyson is 100AW, I don't know which is higher out of these because of the differing units.

We tried out both the Vax TBTTV1B1 and this in John Lewis, and we preferred the Vax - one reason is that it doesn't need to be mounted near to a power point because the adaptor is separate! But probably depends on how messy you are as to what you need...

Hmmm..... not so happy days! Will be taking it back for a refund, so disappointed how poor this is in comparison to my Bosch BCH51830GB. To me fair it's good on hard floors however it's awful to use on carpet, it does pickup fine but it's such an effort to push as all the weight is in the handle the head doesn't glide easily. If only the Bosch didn't develop an intermittent fault I would have stuck with it, I'll be getting another Bosch however as really not happy with the Dyson at all. Also as soon as the motorised head on the Dyson touches my deep pile rug it stops spinning, the cordless Bosch copes fine with the rug.
