It really is a great wax for the money. Have tried loads of waxes and sealants over the years, but find myself always coming back to Purple haze, or Autoglym HD wax.

Guessing this is for people into detailing and there is a lot of prep work to do first

I generally wash and clay my car then use this. It is worth the time to do it properly as it can make washing your car easier for a while after.
Never used this but have used purple haze on a white car as it makes it easier to see when you have taken it all off, made the car look amazing.
I currently have autoglym HD but I feel like it leaves a powdery residue so I may give this one a go.

is this the same stuff they did KITT with in Knight Rider?

Have you tried Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid wax? I've been using that for years. I'm running out and need to get something else, this could be a tempting proposition...
Just purchased a Porsche in the Atlas Grey Metallic colour (looks like a black with a tinge of blue and grey). This actually may work well with that colour!

love the smell of purple haze in the morning.
I'm looking for someone the is now a little easier to apply than the usual carnauba wax based stuff...

Does anyone know what's better... This or their Supernatural Hybrid?

Not tried the Supernatural. Tbh I don't spend money/time like I used to on detailing. Maybe worth trying a 30ml sample pot of Purple Haze to see how you get on, but if you don't put in the work on all the prep work, it doesn't really make a huge amount of difference.

I think you've missed of a fairly important part of your detailing routine. Not sure how you can go from wash, clay bar, then straight to waxing! No point waxing unless you've polished ( and glazed, if so inclined).

I would only polish if I had something to correct on it. I got it brand new and after some polishing paint was perfect.

No they haven't. It's just not free anymore.
Are you sure you're not talking about Spice Orange?

oh a it was the spiced orange I bought the new clubby and wanted it in that colour but he said it wasn't popular , but since they stopped making it they have people on there list wanting that colour if they get any second hand cars in, mine was sold the same day I swapped it

Even on a brand new car, it would need polishing, and then probably twice a year after that. Never gonna stay perfect, unless you park it in a bubble and leave it there.

i polish rarely. I wash and clay it a lot more often. I polished it the first time since dealership valets suck.

Yep no denying that. Quickest way to ruin your paintwork is let the car dealership "valet" your car.

Without going out to the man cave to check, the products I use most of the time are poor boys ssr2.5, poor boys black hole glaze, menzerna sf4500, carlack complete, gtechniq P1 nano compound, chemical guys jetseal 109, autoglym resin polish, dodo juice purple haze, autoglym hd wax. Obviously that's a mix in there of polishes, sealants and waxes. I always use zymol autowash, autobrite supa snow foam, and bilthamber clay bars. And use a mix of 2 bucket method and karcher pressure washer.
There's no best of anything really. What is great for my paintwork, maybe only so so for yours. It's a case of trying them over a period of time and seeing is best for you. :-)
