So much talk about halfords staff being professionals or not professionals. I'm sure all their bike inspectors have been given the same cytech training and at the time we able to display competency, trouble is it's experience and trial and error which is required. Just because someone is given 16 hours of training,
we can't expect them to be experts. If there is a problem over halfords being "Professionals" it will be individuals who haven't been given the support they still require from their management team, it will be a lack of follow up and a secondary inspection by an experience bike inspector before a bike is handed over assembled to it's owner... Rant over... Sorry.

Any idea on size? Its for someone 5' tall so I'm guessing the 17"?

Hey I'm under 5ft2 and have been recommended a 13" (or childs bike) so maybe 17" is a bit too big?

Thanks. Just ordered in pink. Both colours are equally ugly though.

halfords are not professionals! most halfords got in to trouble as their staff were fitting baby seats without relivant experience,it was on TV not long back,
Of course Halfords are professionals, as they get paid to provide a service. Sometimes, as per other professionals, they provide a good service too.

There are people who are afraid of spanners. Those people shouldn't be putting bikes together. Those people are going to pay through the nose because of their fear so if they can change it they should.

I have found through experience not to assemble bikes. Uness you know what you are doing lots of things can go wrong so better left with professionals . Halfords and other shops assemble for free and adjust it to your specification.

Assembling a bike is incredibly easy. Not much to go wrong as long as you follow the instructions.
And Halfords are most certainly not professionals... Take it to a local bike shop if you're that worried about assembling it yourself.
