Bumpers not recommend for babies because of SIDS. They are dangerous.
A coverlet is a lightweight breathable quilt suitable from birth.
A quilt isn't recommended until 12 months as young babies cannot regulate their temperature well so there is a risk of overheating. Again Google the SIDS - sudden infant death syndrome recommendations.
A sleeping bag would be a better investment.
