Canon Crop sensor (ASP-C) / EF-S lens wide angle lens 10-18mm. Very good reviews and a great bit of kit. Have been looking to buy this for a long time but just found that you can purchase the lens for £189.77 from Amazon UK and claim £25 from Canon. Hence making it £164.77 after cash back.
Other retailers like Currys / Jessops are still selling for £213 so making it £188 after cash back from canon.

Thanks. They were £213 few days ago so looks like they are finally coming down in price making it a decent purchase.

Great lens, bought one a few years ago for around the same price. Some of my best shots with this, very sharp bargain at this price.

Great lens. Still cannot believe that other manufacturers have not been able to offer a similar lens at this price range! Shows how much engineering Canon put into the lens design.

great lens, only draw back is that you can't use focus unless the camera's is turned on :smiley::smiley:

Great lens. Had one for about a year very sharp as pointed out. In fact it's sharpener than the older and more expensive 10-22mm. It's a steal at this price point. Only downside is its only compatible with aps-c cameras.

Same price at John Lewis but better customer service from Amazon.

How much wider is this lens compared to what you get on the 18-55mm kit lens?
Not in stock at JL unfortunately. Might be different in store?
You'd get an extra years warranty at JL. I find them better than Amazon.

Have known JL not to honour the price advertised on their website. Same scenario with Amazon and no excuses were made at all. they were happy to sell at the price advertised. No cancelling orders or making excuses about my card not passing security checks etc.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago. Not had much chance to test yet but initially really impressed. I'm just a novice but can appreciate the quite substantial difference in what can be captured at 10mm as opposed to the 18mm on my kit lens.
Also the £25 Canon cashback was approved within a week.
