Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva 2012 £3 in Asda Dewsbury
Said reduced from £8 yesterday so bought 2.
Tasted it. Blooming gorgeous, so went back today and reduction label had been removed. Checked price at a till and still scanning at £3 ,so I bought another 3.
This wine is £11 in Tesco !!

yes amazing deal..although the 2008 or 2012?
i bought 12 bottles from sainburys recently on their 25% off. was £8 = £6 bargain...but not £3 :disappointed:

that's true. a different smaller asda had loads too. mainly of the cheaper end £4 and 5 wine down to £3 etc ,but i did spot a cava at £3.80 from £9. They didn't sell this Rojas but I asked if I could scan my bought in our of curiosity and it said item not recognised . but at least it didn't say it was £8....
Just look out for it if you're in store but don't make a special trip.

Got Oyster bay, Pinot noir for £4 and Wolf blas sauv blanc for £3 in the Asda in Norbiton, all gone when I went to get some more must be having a clear out in most stores.

So happy because the Campo Viejo Rioja at £6.50 is my Fav. wine.
Never tried this ,too tight to spend £8.
Sooooo disappointed scanned at £8 :-(

sorry to hear that Stuart. was it the 'reserva 2012' one? i went back to Dewsbury today but they had all gone , including the 2 that I hid, lol. So I can't say if offer was still on or not.

My local small Asda (Wansbeck Road) Newcastle had loads of wines all reduced to £3 they also had Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Brut 75cl for £7 down from £17 yesterday. No champagne left today but loads of other wines.

One of the wines I enjoy occasionally and often on the shelves at £5 although £7 or £8 is not unusual.

I think thread benefited from people sharing the fact asda smaller stores were selling a lot of wine at £3 . So it wasn't all cloakes at dawn . lol

This wine is matured for 3 years and then sold and is good for a further 5 years, so 2008 variety is past it's best and 2012 is getting there, hence the price drop I suggest.

can't imagine many people buying an £8 bottle of wine to keep stored. ans it'll still have 3 years surely based on those numbers, long time to sell them!

sorry hun . the deal expired too quick but asda are still reducing loads of stock to 3 quid. it might be store specific now. but just ask.
