Bought one of these in there over a year ago. It's a surprisingly good little tool, nice magnetic end and yes Big Clive is using a similar one in almost every single video. I'm sure he got the screwdriver from Poundland (get it there if you have one near). There's none in our Poundland atm. and I like this colour better as the possibility to buy it online and collect later.
A whole 2.5 miles away ! Wow imagine the air fair for that trip. Still there's always airmiles I suppose. Remember those from back when people used to . . . . . used to . . . . . errrr . . . . walk. Yes that's it walk. I remember it now.:laughing::confused::confused:

Nearest Maplin to me is 2.5 miles away, and delivery makes it almost not worth it :disappointed:

Order click and collect to the nearest store to EC2M 7PY, that's the Liverpool Street branch in London. Wait 30 mins and then call customer services saying you haven't received an email saying it's ready for pickup. They'll call the store and the store will tell customer services they don't have stock. Customer services will apologise and post to you for free. You may need to check store opening times before doing this.

I know Big Clive isn't into sponsorship (after the fireworks video was poached from him) but I think it would be a great sell for both Rolson and him to rename this "the big Clive" officially!

is it a bargain......well it's a pound and it would get used.
is it worth mentioning "big Clive"....... definitely! I've watched lots of his videos and it is oddly fascinating and educational to see what's in various cheap Chinese electronic devices, and wether they are safe or not.

I love Clive, and his brother Ralfy, who also has a youtube channel where he shares his wonderful knowledge of whisky and other spirits. I'm always surprised how many people know of Big Clive too, not just online but everywhere I mention him.
BTW, these screwdrivers are insanely good value.

Big Clive is a legend, I started watching his videos to learn but now I do it mostly for his humour. Favourite quote was when the neighbour cat called "China" jumped on him in a video and he just states along the lines "Uh Oh I've just been invaded by China" and given what he does on his channel is mostly take cheap Chinese tat apart I've never laughed so hard.

i do like big Clive but the 2 things that for some reason get on my nerves are him using this screwdriver and him opening up something and nearly always saying "oooh that's interesting" -
I think the screwdriver bugs me as it's such a cheap thing I'd expect an engineer to use something better.. yes I'm a snob.....
otherwise I'm a fan

Heat also for the Maplin staff at Telford this morning - showed an assistant the part number I had written down & he instantly knew what & where it was!!
Thinking about it ...If I was the boss of Maplin, I'd be on the phone to Big Clive begging him to do some kind of promotions - like ripping apart Maplins kit & assessing the quality & comparing to some of the cheaper alternatives.
Yes Maplin does tend to be a bit on the expensive side, but the quality is generally very good & most of it works :sunglasses:

Everything they sell is out of date, and vastly overpriced... even the CEO once said "I don't know how we make money..."

If you can't tell a story that involves you being in London for the weekend then you need to read more.
Just off the top of my head you could mention Queens birthday or taking care of a relative involved in a tower block fire.

Wow, just saw your comment (didn't get a notification), quite the sarcastic maestro aren't you? 2.5 miles to walk for an item that's a pound, as someone who is at most times busy, economically it's not worth it.
Remember the time when... people used to... used to... err... post useful and helpful comments?
Santa001
28 Jun 17#52
To be honest, it's not economically worth for you to get the screwdriver as you're most times busy to use it anyway. The best choice for you is not to spend the pound at all. :smirk:
