Well i've eventually had the washer delivered and my old one taken away at the £119 price which they honoured.
Also had a £30 failed delivery credit refunded back to my account.
So all in all an amazing deal and in fact the best deal i've ever had online i'd say.

I'm no further forward after they failed delivery on Tuesday I've rang 8 times chasing it and been promised a callback 5 times that I've not received. Back office are apparently investigating. Worse than dealing with communication companys and that's saying something. Abysmal customer service that I wouldn't have expected from John Lewis.

I got machine on Thursday after no show Tuesday , got call re "" goodwill "" was told as machine was a price error couldn't do anything I advised not my issue what I buy machine at the goodwill refers to 1/2 day taken off work , no phone call and me having to chase a replacement. Offered me £20 to my online account asked for supervisor and agreed £50 refund on my card

I have had a complaint before regarding a warranty on a TV and this was eventually raised to a case manager in complaints and ruled pretty quickly in my favour. Also JL seem to honor most mis-prices etc - I got a Bosch oven that was on HUKD few years ago for £50. Definitely worth a complaint after you have received the washer.

Payment taken. All emails received . texts for delivery. Mum's got day off. then woman leaves voicemail from dispatch centre says it's not been loaded on to lorry. called JL customer services - said it was missing? on hold couple of times. told dispatch would call me back at 1pm.
Never did.
Spoke to JL dispatch at 4pm. Said she put notes for a re-order.
Told they will call back to re-arrange delivery.
Hopefully won't come back out of stock. (in stock on website) same deal but no free removal.

Ok don't expect them to call u to rearrange anytime I soon. I called up as no call his afternoon , they rescheduled new order to Thursday between 2 and 9pm I asked why not tomorrow. Reply there's a 2pm cut off. The is a company that messes people about u need to chase to reorder , u would have thought 1st thing they would do is resch the minute hey notice wasn despatched.

If they have taken payment then a contract has been formed - if they try to wriggle out of the deal you'd be entitled to source one yourself and make a small claim procedure against them for the difference plus time and trouble - make sure to remind them of that if they muck you around - it's not worth their while to defend such cases so they might as well suck it up and supply what was sold when they said they'd supply it. HTH.

Same thing happened to me however driver arrived and said not on the truck, called spoken to 2 different departments who advised that someone will call and they confirmed I will get compensation
Can't believe (1) no one called as not on lorry, (2) driver does not get to check his deliveries as pre loaded (3) still waiting on the call 3 hours later (4) old machine deplumbed in garage and waiting on uplift.

Mine due to be delivered today but just been called from local store saying it hasnt arrived from central distribution to be sent out for delivery. They are chasing it for me but sounds like there were a few that didnt arrive today at my local store for delivery.
On my john lewis account online it states - Status: Despatched on 27 Jun 2017.
Item still available to purchase online so dont really think they can say they dont have these in stock to be honest - also they already took payment. Price now appears to be £199.99 inc the £80 discount.

Have had the exact model(or at least a near identical one) for about 5 years now, it had a new drain pump last year and now it has an intermittent leak - probably from a seal. Our Beko is on every day, and has been since 2011. Never missed a beat. Previous Indesit washer performed admirably. Some people tend to overload their machines and this can cause premature damage to several components. Just saying.

Do you have any evidence to suggest that a Beko fridge started the Grenfell fire? Of course you don't, you just made it up. Perhaps the fire was caused by a Bosch fridge, or a Zanussi one, or by someone smoking in bed, or by the illegal cannabis farm on the third floor overloading the electricity supply ...

It might well have been another Beko fridge which started the Grenfell tower fire, and near where I live a confirmed Beko fridge fire killed a man and badly injured his family.
You can't put a price on safety and Beko have such a terrible reputation charity shops won't even accept their products. Saving money is good, but not when you can't sleep at night.

I've got a ten year old Indesit WIE167 (5kg, 1600rpm, AAA rated), still working but have been looking at replacing it. This one is higher capacity and better rated but that low spin speed is putting me off a little, had a look and some others on JL have the same £80 discount but are quite a bit more expensive and not much better.

This looks like a very good deal. I have had a similar model from Beko for 8 years - it is still working fine. Whilst this model is probably a little more efficient it would never save the energy expended in replacing the older one with it. I have still voted hot though.

My Beko 7kg washer is more than 7 years old and still going well, although most likely not as energy efficient as this model, tempted by this deal as i do not think they will ask for old machine, i did a tradein deal on a NEFF oven with john lewis and they never asked for the old oven.Just plead ignorance if they ask for it and tell them they have to disconnect it themselves, probably tell you to keep old one :smiley:

Can't believe (1) no one called as not on lorry, (2) driver does not get to check his deliveries as pre loaded (3) still waiting on the call 3 hours later (4) old machine deplumbed in garage and waiting on uplift.

On my john lewis account online it states - Status: Despatched on 27 Jun 2017.
Item still available to purchase online so dont really think they can say they dont have these in stock to be honest - also they already took payment. Price now appears to be £199.99 inc the £80 discount.
Amazon has had three reviews just today for the exact model, all one star, all from people that didn't buy it.

The, unusually short, terms and conditions just mention that they want to take away an appliance. They're welcome to that long-defunct toaster that I have somewhere in the shed
If your old one is totl rubbish its obviously worth getting rid of, but if you could get £50 for it gumtree, its worth knowing you dont' have to trade in.

I rang them up and they couldnt find the details. Said ill have to re order it.
Theyve had a few calls like mine this morning and last night due to the site crashing last night also.

You can't put a price on safety and Beko have such a terrible reputation charity shops won't even accept their products. Saving money is good, but not when you can't sleep at night.
My 18 year old Bosch is squealing like a trapped otter so this deal is just what I needed.
