Go into 'Account Details' then into 'Switch my Membership'. You should see it there. It's £109 for 24 credits.

How do you buy a years supply of 24 credits? Membership is £7.99 a month and, I think, gives you 1 credit per month.

Audible is brill! I buy a years supply of 24 credits and it works out about £4 a book plus every so often you get buy one one free or buy 3 get a free £10 credit. I buy 3 books as I fancy to get the £10 free but if I then try it and I don't like the book or more importantly the voice I give it back and get the credit back. I s a no quibble guarantee. Per book the cost is amazingly good and having books to listen to while walking means you get through lots good books. I am annoyed I didn't know this many years ago. 100% recommended. (amazon tax and politics ignored!)

So lessons learned on this, free trial, cancel (get given another free credit). Cancel (another free credit).
One month fully paid - then cancel and I was offered this.
Personally audio books were something I thought I never would enjoy - but with travelling lots to work . . I LOVE them now  The offers keep me going (just!).

I was on a 3 month trial from a previous posting. I had one credit left which I used and immediatly cancelled then I was able to use this offer. Put a diary note to cancel this after I get my 3rd credit.

Is audible any good? Your membership gets you 1 book a month but the others seem expensive. If you cancel do you get to keep your free downloads?

To add to what was said above you also get a daily deal on a book which costs £1.99 to £2.99 and there is also a decent amount of content on Channels (I'm not sure if that feature is live for everyone yet, or if I only have it as I was in the test group for it though)

if you cancel and they offer a free book take that option, then cancel again and then choose the half price offer. You may not get either offer.

Bear in mind that some of the audio books are many hours long. I've found a backlog of unused credits or unlistened books to be a bigger issue than running out. I think they do deals for extra credits so that you don't necessarily need to pay full price for additional books.
If you end your membership, you still have access to your account and any books that you've bought. I've cancelled and rejoined in the past without any issues.
It's a fairly decent service as the choice is huge and the mobile app works on almost all devices.

Sinxa, you could try putting your account on hold? You can put your account on hold for up to 3 months but you can only do this once a year. This might give you enough time to work through your credits.
Also, if you use up your credits to buy audiobooks you can still access them in your library after you cancel. Check the Audible help for more information.

The problem I am having is that I have 6 credits which = 6 new audio books. If I cancel and set up a new account I loose my 6 credits

If you are an existing member the way to get this is to cancel and then they offer it as an incentive to stay.
