9 rolls of Andrex Gentle Clean for £1.11 at Tesco Glasgow Shettleston.
Store manager said they are discontinued. Shettleston has 5 pallets to sell so should be national.

There were no signs or labels to indicate price, only a store worker telling every customer when they walked by, might be a good idea to try scanning for other stores to confirm if national

I always thought andrex was 3 ply due to it being the most popular but it's actually only 2 ply. I find the 4 pack of 3 ply poundland do to be much better quality.

I kinda didn't say as I didn't want to look like I was just pushing an alternative brand. Used Andrex for years but in the last year they changed how the made the paper. They ruined the quilted which became more patterned than quilted. They even added puppies to the plain stuff which ruined the texture and strength.
I've tried several alternative brands since and finally found one I like - it's quite subjective though so my opinion may not match yours.

I'm curious to hear it nonetheless as you seemed more versed than I in this matter. And I don't think anyone will think you're promoting it lol, merely sharing an opinion

I initially switched to the Velvet brand quilted. It had the level of quilting I wanted but turned out to be a bit rough on the edges and also a bit too easy to put my finger through.
So I tried the Kirkland own brand at Costco and it's surprisingly good. No real pattern to speak of but really strong and the sheets are much bigger which suits me more. Will be buying more.

I know someone says it every time so I won't disappoint: Nicky from Home Bargains/Farmfoods is far better quality. Even my mother in law who always had Andrex, has changed to Nicky.

Personally not keen on the nicky toilet roll due to it have a fragrance/lotion within the paper which caused a reaction in our household.
