These are poor value, we have tried these and found there is absolutely no scent that comes from them when lit.

Joe Malone? Is he Jo Malone's husband?
Not sure it is right to compare with Jo Malone. This is a £3.99 candle, with the depth of fragrance to go with it. Bought one last time they were in and was distinctly unimpressed, even for £3.99! :man:

I didn't even know they were available but Jo Malone + Aldi doesn't inspire me and the above comments suggest I'm correct

Don't get me wrong I love Aldi, and Lidl as well, but I'm losing the plot with some of these deals. Surely the point of hukd is that a product is cheaper than can be bought elsewhere or is the cheapest from a retailer. Why is this a deal?

Her candles are very expensive, you're looking at £40.00 plus

I'm not into candles but they're not 'Joe Malone' candles are they? The point I'm making is with Aldi and Lidl it's normally their own brand so you cannot compare prices unless it is cheaper than before at Aldi for example, otherswise it's comparing brand names with Aldi own which is perspective.

Oh I see,I never looked,I thought she was scraping the barrel here with Aldi
Where does Jo Malone come into it,I'm lost now,is it supposed to be a copy?

I think the title is misleading although I can see the OP's intention to state that they are an 'imitation'. Perhaps "Jo Malone-type" would be better?

Indeed,I had no idea they were copies,I didn't click through to look.

Got these the last time, didn't rate them even at that price. If you have a watt brothers near go get a yankee for a quid more. TK's have also had some decent yankees for £5 recently.

Thanks for the heads up
They're fine for the price, but the fragrance is very subtle, they're certainly on the pretty end of the scale though.
I like the smell of Yankee candles, but the colours are so gaudy and the jars aren't anywhere near as pretty as these.
Voted hot.
My sister is so chuffed, she's been asking me to look out for these for AGES.
And I wonder if they're made by Wax Lyrical, as the Best Of British candles on clearance at my local store are (and they smell really strong - though haven't been lit yet).

I found them very very weak as well, I like subtle smells, but this was so subtle I couldn't tell if there was any fragrance at all.

Pomegranate Noir seems to be sold out now :disappointed: other two options still available, though.

Seems these are slightly different - all the original news items and blogs I'm reading for the Mother's Day batch of Jo Malone-alikes say the scents available are "Lime, Basil & Mandarin, Freesia & Pear and Pomegranate Noir". One of the candles available in this same jar packaging is Blackberry Bay.
if u want jo malone type of quality candles check out acorn aromatics on facebook. Absolutely amazing candles made from soya and perfumes too all made from high grade perfume oil. You will not regret it for sure...i love them since buying these never will I be paying £40+ for a candle.

Got mine this morning (via Hermes - got an email an hour before delivery at 9.30am), just trying No1 (Lime, Basil & Mandarin) out.
Bit concerned about some people saying the two wicks makes the glass too hot (as the candle is quite small), will keep an eye on it.
They're not as strongly-scented (unlit) as the Wax Lyrical H2O/Rose candles that were on clearance in my Aldi recently, but will see how I get on once it's been burning for an hour or two. These candles simply say "Produced In Poland For Aldi Stores" on the sticker underneath.

if the 'scent alike' candles are anything like the 'scent alike' Chanel perfumes I will be steering clear!

Can't see Freesia & Pear on the Aldi website https://www.aldi.co.uk/freesia-%26-pear-glass-candle/p/078032151633701 Wonder why they changed it?
