I wouldn't trust this lot after the price hike issues I've had with them in the past. I wonder as this offer finishes on the 29th June new subscribers will be hit by there first increase in a a day or so after. This is from the t's and c's of the contract
''The charge for your airtime plan will increase with your July bill each year. Any increase will be in line with the retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation announced in the April before and we’ll always give you 30 days’ notice of the exact increase each year.''

There is plenty of good stuff and knowledge here, but on some deals people just keep moaning round and round. Yes, we know you had troubles with Virgin, BT, Sky or any other company - all of us do have problems but we all need to use something. If you don't get good retention deal just go elsewhere. People moaning about large bills for extra abc - 99% of the time it is your fault - read t's & c's before buying contract - if you don't like what you see go elsewhere.

I have been with virgin media for a number of years and have a TV/ Internet contract and until recently was paying £7.00 per month for a sim only 4g deal of 2 gb data 2500 mins and free texts. I had a £2.00 discount on this account already for loyalty. I managed to haggle them down to £5.00 per month for the same deal and got a replica deal for my wife too. I'm not posting this to boast but highlight that you can really haggle with virgin media. It took me a while to do it but I kept refusing the initial 'offers & speal' and reminded the operator that I was prepared to leave and that I had been a loyal virgin media and mobile customer. Haggle them down..... It can pay dividends if you are a long term customer. Hope this helps someone.

For broadband never had any issues on the service side bar a few small ones, CS is getting worse as seem to get hold of foreign call centre more often who like any company are near useless as they don't understand and do everything from a script.
2 and a half years into a contract with them and 2 years of that with discounts never had a correct bill ever overcharged most months and have to manually credit my account which taktes about 5 phone calls of 30 minutes each to get advisor to understand as they just say "oh well you underpaid last month so we took it off this month" Ummm no I got for example £20 credit last month so my £40 bill had £20 taken out but the system flags that as £20 underpayment.
Utter useless. But the service is awesome.

Great deal but crap operator.
Was with them for 6-7 years TV, BB & Phone.
Nothing but problems with the Broadband. The Catch Up on the Tivo box was awful. Stop start then just gave up!
The phoneline we hardly ever used, cost a small fortune.
The mobiles we have with Virgin run out of contract this month. Shopping about for chepp deals elsewhere. Teso Mobile look ok & give the Clubcard Points & other incentives.
Never had any incentives from Virgin, other than the safe knowledge that the contracts were running down.
I wouldn't sign up to Virgin Media or Mobile if my brain fell out!
With Sky TV now, 18months 50% off.
Dirt cheap MSE linked deal with BT for BB & Phone.
Happy, like a room without a roof!

I just left them and they asked why. Told them I was offered a better deal from BT and gave them the details/link when they asked.
No counter offer was made, which was stupid on their behalf as I hardly used any of my 2500 minutes most of the time and even my data use isn't that high. I'd have expected a better offer after a few years of me being with them.
If they had offered me 4g while letting me keep my 0870 inclusive calls I'd probably have stayed.

Branson never had anything to do with the running of Virgin Media or probably any of his other Companies. They use it as a Brand name. Virgin Mobile Europe and Media is owned by Liberty now anyway.
They are a 3rd party who will document everything and send the complaint to the correct internal departments for you.. I hve used it twice with Virgin and both times I got a call back within a couple of days everything sorted super quick by someone from head office.

Seems a good deal as was paying £9- for 1500 minutes and 2GB data - so just switched it. If there is a rise it won't be until this time next year in which case you can change. I never use all my minutes and data anyway but it's always there if needed.

I'll be happy to put up with this deal for the same-ish price in 12 months time, other things being the same. Meant to mention, don't think there was a credit check as it is on my existing landline account, and they also have the option to cap expenditure separately on each sim.

Recently went with BT Mobile for my family - they're offering 6GB/unlimited/unlimited on EE (their network) x five sims for £42pm + £40 Amazon/itunes voucher. Don't normally like BT, but this is a stonking deal if you need multiple sims (not so good with just one or two). Also includes free BT wifi. 12 month contract on first sim, monthly on all the others. Offer rums for another day or so. HTH someone.

I was on BT last year and they were faultless.

I left Virgin mobile as the deal I had was ok, but only 3g, they wanted to almost double the price to give me the same deal on a 4g sim...I'm back on GiffGaff for now.
They've also blown it with me for home broadband, they lock you in to get a deal, then increase the price during that deal, called to cancel, but was told I'd have to wait until the contract ended...I'm gone once this contract ends, you cannot take your customers for granted.

I was on the Unlimited mins, Unlimited texts and 250mb data sim for £5 per month back when the offer was on.
Everything seemed ok, it was used in my backup phone as a secondary line so i wasn't gonna use it too much. However this month the bill was £47... to my shock. The data had gone over (play store app updates) which were charged at £2 per session ie... 31kb cost me £2 numerous times adding up to £42 (+£5 monthly charge).
Absolutely shocked that virgin don't cap the data automatically OR AT LEAST give you a warning message that you're going over. I spoke to them and they say they want to be transparent, which made me laugh out loud.
When i asked for the pac code to leave as it was a 30 day rolling contract, they gave it to me without offering me any deal to stay. A couple days later i phoned them to see what other deals they could offer, more specifically i was looking for more data. They said they don't offer unlimited mins anymore. The best they can do is 1500 mins, unlimited texts and 2gb data for £9, i pointed ou that the same deal you just offered me is £8 on your website.
So in short... They don't want to keep existing customers. They offer new customers much better deals.
THREE UK are just as bad at offering deals. Im paying £30 a month with them and they randomly called me the other day giving me a "once in a lifetime special offer for existing customers only" deal. The deal was EXACTLY the same as what mobilephonesdirect.com are offering for £10 a month.
They sure know how to get loyal customers to lose trust in them very quickly. I give them that.
