One of my local stores has the Toshiba 55U6663DB which is £399 online but scans at £429. Either different model or store specific, or both...

That's got the same smart function as a Linsar TV, which makes me think, this is not a Toshiba made TV, Do Tosh even make their own Tellys anymore or is it a rebadged Turkish fire risk ?

Don't forget there's a lot of poor men & women out there that
wood b very happy with a 55in toshiba.

A poor quality TV is a poor quality TV no matter what the price. If the image quality is poor at £500 it isn't going to get any better slashing the price. Great deal if you must have a 55 inch TV but seriously it is £250 better saved until you can afford something half decent.
