It's been over 6 months since I first posted this and it still works. If you have an Android device or know someone who does, install Sennheiser CapTune and then take a free 3 month trial of Tidal. On your own device (Android or Apple) install Tidal and log in with your new details.
You can cancel immediately so don't have to worry about forgetting to cancel in the future.
I'm on my 3rd consecutive subscription :man:

Tidal is £20 a month? What the ****?

Word of warning. I was a subscriber to Tidal for over a year. Enjoyed the service and always great quality but it was just too expensive for how often I used it. So I cancelled my subscription. 6 months later I get an email saying I've been charged again through paypal. Asked for a refund as I hadn't authorised this and their customer service rep basically called me a liar and said I'd logged in and used the service and there's no way they're issuing a refund. If you google this you will see that this isn't a one off incident and it's happened to a lot of people. For that reason as good as the service was I wont tolerate being robbed and I will never ever use the service again.

Tidal are charging a premium for something that most people don't care about....youtube sound quality is good enough for most people.

This is obviously a good deal but the usual price, considering they're playing massive catch up with the rest, is astonishing

It seems you have to install both the CapTune and Tidal apps, and then sign up to TIDAL from within the CapTune app to get this offer. Thanks OP.

Do you cancel subscription via Tidal or CapTune app, please point me to the correct part off app for cancelations?

It's through Tidal.

You can choose a lower quality for a lower price. £19.99 is for the higher quality audio. A bit like 4k on Netflix.

It's £20-00 a month for the Hi-Res offering. If you've got the equipment (and ears!) to appreciate it I personally think it's worth it, especially with MQA/Master. 2 CD's in old money is still pretty good value.

I've researched this endlessly, but still not clear whether I'll get any real benefit from the FLAC audio when listening from my phone (which is what I'll be doing mostly, with Sennheiser CX300 ii earphones) on a Galaxy S5. Anyone got any thoughts?

Listen to the same tracks in both 320 MP3 and FLAC, and let your ears tell you if it's worth it or not.
ElGofre to steveyboy79

No, you won't get any more benefit out of tidal than you would spotify. It takes significantly more expensive headphone setups to be able to articulate the difference between lossless and conventional files.

I could tell between 320kps and fkac when on the move. But at home with Hifi earphones.... Maybe. But only maybe

It's a free trial, and you can change the quality in the App - so give it a go. Only you and your ears will be able to say if it's worth it.

Don't Deezer also do that but with a bigger library and for £15?

Just double checked and yes - £15 for 12 months then £20....

The big selling point for Tidal, and one of the only things that sets it apart from its cheaper rivals at the moment, is the ability to listen to high-fidelity, lossless tracks. This essentially means that you'll be getting CD-quality sound rather than the compressed quality of an MP3.
For the audiophiles among you, Tidal's quality offering are broken down into Normal, High and HiFi. Normal is AAC+ 96kbps, High is AAC 320 Kbps (which is what you'll get if you sign up to Spotify's Premium subscription or Deezer's Premium+), and HiFi, which means you'll get 16bit/44.1 KHz 1411 Kbps FLAC files.
It's worth noting, though, that without good headphones you're not going to get the most out of Tidal's HiFI offering.
Deezer actually offers a lossless HiFi option, too, but only for Sonos customers. It's called Deezer Elite, and you should get an email offering an upgrade if you start using Deezer with your Sonos speaker system.

I can definitely tell the difference in quality when playing through my hifi but the main reason I didn't keep up the subscription was that Spotify is just nicer to use and gives better suggestions, plus when sharing on a family account it's ~9x cheaper than than this

Has anyone tried the trial and downloaded songs to listen offline? Trying to do it and it says device cannot be authorised for offline use. Is this because it's a trial or because of gremlins in the works?

Hi there!
Thanks for Your find, @miffyl !
My first three months taken through CapTune just came to an end, so decided to try again. I used a different email (that should be obvius) and all worked like a charm with the same payment details.
As I see You mentioned, that You are on the third consecutive offer this way, I have a crucial question. Have You found a good and easy way to migrate or transfer all Your music library (favorite artists, albums etc.) from expired to the new account? I was looking on Google for some info, but nothing for account to account within Tidal. I only figured out to make a long playlist by adding all my favorite albums to it and sharing with myself, but then I had to scroll through it and add albums/artists one by one.
What is Your experience @miffyl and others?
Many thanks in advance for sharing!

I just set them up every time. You're right that the only other obvious way is to create and share playlists but it is tedious.
