Someone on here put me onto the Brazilian Deezer. Log on with a VPN to a Brazilian server (Hola app) upgrade to premium there and you're paying in 14.90 Brazilian whatsits which is about £3.90. All the features of a British subscription but ⅓ of the price. The only downside is some Brazilian recommendations on my home screen.

For a long term deal this is the way to do it. Even works on existing accounts. For £3.90ish a month for the Premium Service. Plus you keep up to date with the Brazillian currency rates lol

Its probably down to country to country relations. The worse our (UK) relations are with a particular country the harder it is to setup or get through their legislation eg. Russia, China etc. As a result of the extra admin, they charge for it. Of course I could be completely wrong  , they might just charge for most sought after locations going by forums, feedback and web searches.

5 Jun 17#67
Are there any free VPN extensions/programs I can use to access the Russian/alternative Deezer site? Hola, Zenmate and others seem to charge for certain countries. Thanks

5 Jun 17#68
I tried the Hola app but it still shows £9.99 for some countries. Others work, I'm not sure why
Cheers for the heads up, I only turned it on to do that transaction, but kept it on my phone turned off. it's been deleted now. Can you recommend an alternative for android?

3 Jun 17#63
There is an easier way to do that on your PC.
If your talking about spotify then follow these steps. I would assume it will work 100% with deezer also.It will auto update the playlist on your phone once you log in.
In your new account, you need to "follow" your old account first then .....
1) From the DESKTOP client version of Spotify, log in to your new account2) Create a new playlist to mirror each of ones you want to copy over. Leave them blank.3) Click on the playlist you want to copy (the one you're following)4) Select a song, then hit Ctrl-A to select all5) Drag and drop the selected songs to the new playlist6) Unfollow the old playlist
This copies everything over in a few clicks.

I bought a Samsung SoundBar from John Lewis, which came with a 12 mth Deezer voucher in the box. I used the voucher and returned the Soundbar as didn't like it. Still have Deezer ...... just sayin'
My daughter also has Spotify at £4.99 a month using my NUS student discount membership - which is way too easy to apply for, and gets you loads of discounts elsewhere (as does Unidays - but not so easy to apply for if you're a Dad!).
Anyway, comparing the 2 over last 6 mths, the Spotify interface is still our preference.

Alright thank you, I might try it another time.
On a side note, if Google Play did the Discover Weekly thing Spotify does, the 30 song personal playlist it makes for you, Google Play would be my fave, and if it allowed you to download an entire library rather than having to manually download every album one at a time, it'd be perfect.

Deezer is awesome IMHO. I actually ended up with two years for free after purchasing Samsung R1 & R3 Multiroom speakers.
Never thought I would ever subscribe to a music streaming site and preferred my cart my 15,000 MP3s around in the car on a USB drive, but I think I will carry at a £10 P/M once my current subscription expires. I haven't listened to any of my own music collection for over six months, which I never in a month of Sundays thought would ever happen 7 months ago.
Ideal when in the car for streaming to you in-car audio (except when signal drops out), but you can actually download tracks, albums etc to your device if you anticipate being somewhere without mobile data.
