After reading in the press what went on at Tummel Valley, I wouldn't take my kids anywhere near one of these Parkdean parks.

FWIW, I booked my weekend break but then realised it clashed with something and thought the worse in terms of changing the booking but, in fairness, it couldn't have been easier with Park Dean - called them up explained and the guy took 2 minutes to change my booking to another weekend. Very surprised there was no 'well, the T&Cs state...', etc. Easy.
Good customer service. Will wait to see what the place is actually like though!

It takes a special kind of desperate to go to a caravan park. Been once, never again.

I use to go Cyprus every year when I was little(my family are from there), but my happiest memories were from caravan holidays. Don't be so judgemental as some can only afford them.....

Teezer or should that be Teaser?
We always go abroad for our summer holidays and stay awake from 'Blackpool in the sun' type places. However, in the autumn we go to a caravan park and it's a bit of a mixed bag. Some have been fantastic whilst others might give someone the type of opinion that would form a response like yours.

I have been using Park Resorts for years have stayed several times at Kessingland Beach , Breydon Water , California Cliffs and Cayton Bay , all are very good but i wouldn't touch Summerfields they only bought it last year and when i stayed last year was like a council estate, wasn't very nice accommodation was poor
If booking at Breydon Water just beware the camp is split over 2 sites 1/2 mile apart, one has all the entertainment & outdoor pool , restaurant ,arcade etc other just indoor pool

Be aware that this pffer has been live for nearly 2 weeks so availability for a lot of places will be slim.
I booked this last week and my options were limited then so imagine it will be even more so now. That or they will sell you upgrades as there is availability for the upgrade caravans.

Do these have to be caravans or can you opt for lodges?

Mullion is a very nice site, with many new caravans (more like a home from home) staff very helpfull and freindly, nothing is to much of a problem, lots to do, and a beautifull part of the country to explore (Cornwall) very highly recomended.
