I'll do the maths for you:
£29 rtn = £14.50 e/w - good deal!
£30 one way = more than double the old PO offer.
I know it's an abstract concept but I've done my best to explain.

Used DFDS year before last having used Brittany Ferries in the past. My only advice is take a pack lunch with you. The food on the crossing is the very worst microwave meals and hideously expensive.

Nothing special. Last year I got a return for £29 with P&O although I've not seen any similar deals this year.
