20W = garbage. you need a 50W one to replace a proper 500w floodlight.

You would, but people often just install 500W ones blindly and they end up far too bright.

Correct

The brackets on cheap lights usually rust out before the bulb needs replacing!

This floodlight is only 20w. I used to have a floodlight with a 500w light bulb. I realise this is probably LED, but at 20 watts how much light can it throw out?

you would need a 50w LED one to compare.

I need a floodlight to light up my garden. It's probably around 20 square meters. Would one be enough?

These are quite good. I bought 2 silver 20w lamps from JTF a few years ago but without the sensors and I use the 2 mounted on a tripod/stand as a work light .Mine are the silver ones . They do light up the room [ I'm a decorator] and dont use much electric.The sensor part can be removed or disabled if your good with electrics . No cable was supplied with my 2.

If you're buying a few them p&p will only be a pound or so per light.
Don't say no over that. ..
Opening post
