Gonna give those 1000Mbps powerlines a go. I tried some 500Mbps TP-Links are they suck on BT TV, kept buffering!

Seem to get about 100 - 150Mbit/s actual out of them, at this price I think I'll pickup a 2nd pair, be interesting to see if adding more makes them faster or slower (I think the newer gen ones can act as repeaters on the powerline side)
Lack of passthrough is a tad annoying though.

Be aware that some of these are cheaper on Amazon even after the 20% discount.

I'm interested in the "D-Link 1000Mbps Powerline Gigabit Starter Kit - 2 Pack". It's £21.99 on Amazon; can you see it cheaper?

I'd highly recommend passthrough for these unless you've a million power sockets. You really can't argue with £17 for 1gb powerline though.

Don't know if I should take the plunge with this. I've heard some powerline adaptors don't work due to the circuitry in your house. Returns a hassle from mymemory.

Nope, it's cheaper here. But both the Wireless Home Siren and the Wireless Home Security kit are cheaper on Amazon, even with the discount. That's why I wrote "some" and not "all".

They will all run at the speeds of the slowest ones though. Ie if you have 500mbps now and add these they will all run at 500mbps max.

5% TCB just tracked.
For those wanting to add to another manufacturer's pair I'd suggest buying two pairs of these & Ebaying the existing pair. That's my plan anyway.

Thats not too bad, hopefully it will be OK for BT TV. I did re-consider it as it didnt have a pass through too but we shall see how it goes

Anyone else received the homeplugs? A quick initial test shows a lowly 40Mbs so looks like they're going back.
