Travelodge should have trained its staff that they should not put people in Special Needs room, especially without the decency of telling them in advance. We went into the room to find it a disabled one.
Travelodge should not put customers into a disabled room, especially when the receptionist did not have the decency of warning us that it was a disabled room. She said she could not give us a family room (I can't sleep with my 22 year old son in a double bed and I couldn't find any double room, so I booked a family room.)
There was only one Sky channel working and what did they expect us to do from 5 to 10 pm, stuck in a cell in a motorway hotel? They refused to give us free wifi and no TV. To add insult to injury, the same woman sold a family room right under my nose, to a lady with a husband and 2 kids. She asked her, "How many nights do you want?"
The same woman said to me I could leave, nobody was holding us captives and the door was behind me and YET THE REFUND WOULD HAVE TO WAIT THE FOLLOWING MORNING AFTER WE HAD LEFT. Call that service? In the end, she gave us a refund after several conversations with her.
Now I am waiting for a cheque for my petrol. She literally ruined my first holiday of the year. I booked 2 nights out of 3 nights holiday.. Don't treat your customer like dirt.
She was selling a family room when I WAS complaining. Did she think I could not understand what was going on? She should be sacked.
When I complained to a Trip***, they suppressed my grievances.

Have you actually complained - in writing - to Travelodge? (customer service/twitter, etc)

Sorry, haven't seen your question. I did and they refunded me my petrol money back home that night. I should have asked for the petrol money from Packwood House to Derby as well, but I don't want to bankrupt the chain. We arrived home 10pm. The woman receptionist was so arrogant to her customers. It's not my fault that they didn't have twin rooms, so I had to ask for a family room. I couldn't possibly sleep in a double bed with my 22 year old son!

Blast them on their twitter page /Facebook and an email to the ceo.. Sometimes justice takes a long time to be redressed. But don't let them get away with it!

Nice, used it for a stay in Glasgow. I haven't stayed in a TL for a while, but I think a new TL is better than a older Novotel/Hilton etc.

Hi you can get 7% cashback from Quidco (Expires in 3 days) though
Don't go to Nottingham Central in the summer - no aircon and fearsomely hot. And the windows only open one inch. It's a sweatbucket!

Please do not stay at Notts central it's like a hostel we left after arriving at our room. Hairs all over the sheets, door spy hole missing and hole in the door, and mould all around the bath. Cheap it is, and disgusting! You can read my review on trip advisor

Heat added I just made a booking this morning with Travelodge for next week but as usual when i choose to book with them no codes are available for the dates i stay though.
they were at it cos it said single room (1 night stay) sold out, but same room was a available as part of a 2 night stay (£200) so are basically making you buy 2 nights instead of 1. So if your ever gonna book a single room it says sold out try search for the same room again but make the stay 2 or 3 days see if that room suddenly becomes available under the 2 or 3 nights stay and if it dose then you may be able to call them and sort something out directly.
Ive always found travelodge to be great but im just never lucky to take advantage of their promotional codes n stuff

As the title suggests, 15% of City stays between 21st July - 03 September use code SUMMER2017 at checkout to drop the prices.
Offer is live now to stay between 21.07.17 – 03.09.17 You must book before Weds 12th July
Sonme places already have discounts on multiple nights, which the code seems to work with anyway, so some good prices around for multiple nights.
Couple of Examples: Nottingham Central 3 nights 25July - 28th July £97.75 (32.58 per night)
Heathrow Heston M4 Eastbound 21 July - 22nd July £30.60
