This deal is based on 2 adult and 2 children (up to the age of 17) flying out of Bournemouth on 6th July flying out to Dalaman and returning 20th July. I understand this isn't in the official summer holiday however if you have kids that have just done their GCSE's or have finished college for the year this is the perfect time to get away!!
This crazy price includes hotel transfers and 15kg baggage each as well as a hand luggage. The hotel is the Club Alpina Apartments which have raving reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Marmaris so a perfect location if you prefer a bit of peace and quiet.
The price initially shows as £155pp on the Thomson website however when you select it it actually goes down to £88.90pp, this price is crazy!

Went Marmaris 4 years ago and stayed in poseidon hotel. Even though the hotel was nice, the food was awful and the people were rude, hassling you to buy something if you even walk past their shop. Even saying "NO!" Wasn't even enough at times.
Personally wouldn't visit this country again.
Not voted either way.

Daughter & bf went to Corfu with Thomson at beginning of June for £96. Thats was for self catering apartment, flights, transfers and 15kg luggage. She sent md a pic of her room and it was really nice. No one believes it was £96 but she screen shotted the receipt and shows people. A flight costs more on its own. If you catch Thomson at just the right time they have some real bargains!

I assume you're talking about terrorist risk? This is nonsense. I went to Turkey a couple of months ago with the family, it's totally fine. I'd go again. You could say the same thing about London, or Manchester, or Paris, or anywhere.
Sure, if you walk along the eastern border flying a union jack flag with a cartoon of Allah on it you may be inviting some trouble, but otherwise take the usual sensible precautions, and there's really no reason to avoid Turkey.

Nice hotel, went a couple of years ago. Miles away from the beach but close to a good street with lots of good restaurants etc.
Worst I can say is that if you do eat elsewhere then prepare to be ignored by the Hotel waiters afterwards as they don't seem to like people eating out (that was our experience and that of a few others). Oh and the hotel photographer was a bit pushy.
Other than that great hotel and great for the kids, especially the pools.

Worst place I have ever visited in the world. I would love to visit other places in Turkey such as Istanbul, Oludeniz or Hisaronu as I hear amazing things but never Marmaris. Even friends have been and thought the same way I do.
Rude people, poor food (in my experiences anyway), more than one instance of people from our hotel being mugged while out in the town.
The deal is certainly hot and that's the way I would vote but I would certainly advise people not to go. If you want cheap then go somewhere like Croatia, fantastic place.

I wouldn't hesitate to visit oludeniez been three times now to the same hotel, the belceciz beach hotel which is a Thompson all inclusive, we were there last year during the coup, never felt unsafe even then, we will go back again, such a shame about the troubles out there before we left , hotel management said the bookings were down over 50%.

The law should be changed regarding school holidays! 1, force companies to have a fairer pricing system & fine them for inflated prices when the kids are off school, OR 2, give parents / teachers the option to book 6 weeks of holidays like the workplace system , something has to give as it's too unfair for hardworking families.

30 Jun 172#24
that's the price you pay for having children I'm afraid, it's not like it comes as a surprise. It's all about supply and demand, holiday companies work exactly the same as every other company, people need to just suck it up

Turkish holiday prices have dropped like a stone in the last 18 months. Russian tourism has shrunk by 95% since Russian tour companies were banned from selling package deals to Turkey and British and German visitors are down by a third mainly due to recent ISIS, PKK and TAK terror attacks and bombings in some of the main cities.
Current gov.uk foreign office website advice is that "Further attacks are likely. Attacks could be indiscriminate and could affect places visited by foreigners. There is a heightened risk of terrorist attack against the aviation industry in Turkey so you should co-operate fully with security officials at airports. Be vigilant around significant religious occasions and public holidays as terrorist groups sometimes call for attacks around these times."

Just come back from Icmeler 8km past Marmaris, couldn't fault it and it was as cheap as chips and hassle free. The cost of a private taxi from the airport is £25 one way and takes about 80 mins. Also, you can use the cheap last minute booking for flight and transfer purposes only and book alternative accommodation before you go for around £20 a night, I know a lot of people do that.
why would you avoid Turkey? Beautiful country, stunning scenery and the food is fabulous. Hospitality and friendliness is super.
