Any unleaded will work in any car , yes but 98 and 95 are different kettles of fish entirely.

Edit again. For the silly eejits. I have been driving for over 40 years and always use the cheapest fuel available. Drive in excess of 20,000 miles every year. Never ever had a fuel related breakdown. Go figure!

Normal fuel may be fine to keep your engine running but higher octane is certainly better for high performance engines. My engine gained around 20bhp on the higher octane fuels.

That millers additive is brilliant stuff for Diesel engines. I used to use it a lot on trips to Germany, really did improve the running of the engine and mpg went up around 7 - 10 mpg.

Petrol or Diesel? My experience with Diesel is the opposite, after a few tanks with cheap stuff an injector clogged and the car would barely run. After going back to BP normal diesel and adding Miller's additives the car improved a lot and 3 years later I still haven't fixed it the injector and had no more problems.

The few times that I had to use Esso or supermarket fuel I noticed the car getting worse again and black smoke coming out. I'm pretty sure Esso and Tesco are the same, and probably not much different than other cheap brands, but definitely not the same as BP.

As for using Ultimate, over normal fuel, you're probably better off buying a separate additive and adding it yourself. You have more control on what you're adding, with better quality, and it'll be cheaper.

Utter, utter, utter pish.
Edit. All petrol and diesel come from the same UK refineries. Just some end sites add some 'snake oil' to make the fuel snobs think they are getting a super fuel. So being a snob about supermarket fuel will not make your car get 'ummph and get a few more miles'. Go do some research before making such a silly comment.

Is BP Ultimate much more expensive per litre than regular fuel does anyone know?
