Seems like a lot of phone for the money. may need to take £10 sim so possibly £75
The ZTE Blade A512's screen is 5.2 inches with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 Quad core 1.4 GHz processor (CPU). Great phone. I got two. I told the shop I didn't need the PAYG sim, so they sold me a topup code instead. I got rid of it on fleabay.

Wouldn't do it without the sim for extra 10 quid so I walked out the store. I refuse to pay a tenner for a sim that will go straight in the bin.
I need a phone as well.

Yes but even at £75 this is great value, and the £10 sim come with extra roaming bundle (500mb, 100 mins and texts) so if you are going abroad in next 3 weeks it could save you a few quid....

Bought this morning in Liverpool. I asked could they do it for £65, without the top up, but they said no. Great phone for the price though. I really love the size of it. Found my Smart Ultra 6 was just too big and kept dropping it and repeatedly smashing the screen. This one fits perfectly in my hand though. Cheers OP!

Think the unlock codes are specific to each phone based on the unique IMEI number you submit through eBay for unlocking. Already unlocked mine, only £1.29 and got the code in less than an hour and that was after order around 9-9:30pm

Had mine a week now and it's brilliant. Battery life very decent too. Already had an OTA software update too. No sign of Nougat though, but at the price, who cares.
If I could get one of these with a better camera like my Xperia Z5 for say another £40 , I'd buy it!

Got it for the mother in law, but setting it up and installing apps from her account was fairly rapid. Screen seems a nice size for those that don't want larger 5.5" and impressed with the overall quality and speed. Personally I like the textured back but if you're buying a case you won't notice. Put it this way was impressed with the Moto G5 at £170 from Amazon for my wife to replace her smart ultra 6 but after using this, even at £75 with top up the G5 is no where near twice the quality, wish I'd saved some money and gone for this instead. :sunglasses:

There is a dual SIM version of this but it's a hybrid SIM/SD card. I wonder if it just has a different SIM tray and the dual SIM feature is enabled, or is it in the software too?
Got one for a present and pretty impressed with it. Much much faster than my Moto g2, very little lag, nice screen goes right to the edge and very slim too. Battery life seems impressive, spent good 3 hours playing, installing etc and battery only lost 15%.
Unlocked within 30 mins too with eBay code.

This deal was posted by kpearsoncj over 3 weeks ago.
I spotted it as I was looking to replace an old Nexus 5 so I'd been looking at deals on the various 'cheap' phones from China. I'm already on Vodafone SIM only Contract but when I picked my Blade up in store I still had to pay the £10 top-up. I only started using the phone earlier this week as I'd had to request a Nano-Sim but so far I'm really impressed. Battery life seems great & the screen is nice. Slightly taller/wider than the Nexus but slimmer/lighter. Definitely worth a punt if you don't want to take a chance on importing a phone from China.

I have the K8 and would not recommend buying it unless you are willing to do some leg work on ADB terminal commands. LG disabled the feature to merge external storage.
8GB is a total and utter waste of time.
I've managed to merge the 32GB SD Card with the Internal memory but save yourself a lot of hassle and get one with at least 16GB of storage.
Other than the storage situation, the K8 is a decent enough little phone.

Also read on gsmarena that a few people that had these have had issues with ghost touch.

specs look good for the price.
just one thing though, spec sheet says phone is 164mm high, that seems pretty tall for a phone with a 5.2 inch screen ?
by comparison, i've currently got a moto g4 (ghost touch issues, hence reason for looking at a new phone), and that is 153mm high for a phone that's got a 5.5 inch screen.
so what i'm saying is, does it seem an overly tall phone (proportion wise) in everyday use ?

Picked up the last one from Bolton Middlebrook store last night. My wife has the Moto G5 (5" screen) and size/dimension are about the same, give or take a mm, although the Blade is a little thinner but feels comfortable to hold.
Seems like a cracking phone for the money. Installed 30+ apps pretty fast, screen seems nice and responsive, I'm sure the mother-in-law will be happy with it going from the original Moto G to this

Yeah good luck with that. Got a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, unlocked from ebay for £1.50. Mic was faulty after 14 months so returned to Vodafone for repair as 2 year manufacturer warranty. Replacement phone was sent same week but different IMEI number which wasn't recognised on server so unable to get unlocked from ebay. Returned to the store and manager emailed NUC team, it's been over five weeks now and have received an email to say they will have to request unlock code from manufacturer which will take another 7-10 working days. Not been able to use the phone as a phone as don't have a Vodafone sim
Not very happy with the service, but will probably buy this phone for the mother-in-law as she's still struggling with the original Moto G, so should be a nice upgrade for the price :sunglasses:

9 May 17#30
This is the second phone I've seen recently without Gyro; what gives? My Nokia N82 (early 2008 tech) had a gyro, as did my HTC Hero (2009) so surely it isn't expensive tech these days? Seems pretty odd as it will stop things like screen re-orientation, Photospheres, 360 video viewing, cheap VR viewers, etc etc. What is the logic?
Oh, and heat for good price for a relatively high specced cheap handset.

ZTE Blade 6 is a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, so if they had chosen to brand this it would have been a Smart Ultra 5.2?
Some stores let you not buy a top-up if you already are a Vodafone customer, but not always. You can sell the credit on eBay but do it quickly as it has a 30-day life only (from purchase not activation).
The SU6 always got rave reviews because it had high spec at low price - this is the same, and actually 5.2" is far easier to handle than the 5.5" SU6.
