Thank you OP. Managed to get done few hours back from Argos after doing a FT order y'day night. It took some time for the Argos staff to sort out the order after checking with their HO. I had ordered FIFA17 but got Minecraft Edition which made me more happy. With regard to the voucher I was told that 20 pound voucher is for Instore order only. Anyway with online order you still get a 10 pound voucher.

Great deal. However the future for Xbox is not looking good. With Scorpio being announced (at E3) as 4K power machine I highly doubt this move will take Microsoft back on track.
PS4 has more variety of exclusive games. E3 is looking dull for Microsoft;
Crackdown 3, Cuphead, Fora 7, New IP by 343i, Halo TV series by Steven Spielberg. Other than that Microsoft have nothing major compared to Sony line up. Don't expect Halo 6, or Gears of War 5 announced at this E3 as it won't be happening.
For your money's worth or if your looking to buy a console for the family I'd suggest the PS4 (worth every penny you pay).

Wow everyone's practically giving these away in the last few weeks. There's definitely a new verison of the Xbox One S being announced at E3 next month.
The Xbox Scorpio wouldn't make retailers try liquidate their stock on the S like this, because both are different consoles aimed at different markets. The Scorpio will be significantly more expensive. It must be because the One S is being replaced by a slightly improved model - perhaps even slimmer or maybe as trivial as a new colour (black?)

FIFA 17 is going to be obsolete in about three months, Overwatch is £17 on PC (and who wants to play a fast-paced FPS on a weak console anyway), and Gears of War 4 is getting on a bit now.

There's also an offer for the white controller that says you can get halo 5 for an extra £5...but oddly (or not) that's not loading for purchase at the moment...offer ends 30th May...that would have been a nice add on

If you add all its £293. They refund you the difference.
You're not likely to honoured only because you ring them. You might have to ring them again when you go instore. And you're not guaranteed to get same answer every time.
I'm talking this from personal experience. But no harm trying your luck if you have time to go instore and hold the phone for 10 minutes at least.
