It's the elite controller. Normally around £100 on it's own. Used ones are normally still £70- £80. Being honest I can't get used to the paddles but the build quality is much better.

It has paddles at the back which are programmable. You can save custom settings. Hair trigger locks, fully customisable ranges with the analogues.

Sweet. Wolfenstein: The New Order for £7.99, a replacement 1TB SSHD for my PS4 from the first console and a second one as my god-son's birthday gift. 3 birds with one stone.
Not for me - rather the used Xbox S from Amazon Warehouse that's been posted. This thing is huge!

Why does the size matter? It's under a much much larger TV lol

It mattered to Microsoft. I think I will take their direction over yours. :man:

I would think that their decision to shrink it was due to the sheep bleating on about how big it was compared to the PS4?? I personally prefer the big one, lots of air circulation, better venting and a separate PSU, all bonuses to me
JumpMan1980
3 May 17#20
Why are they bonuses to you? That is so weird.

Yeah I don't get that either. People look into the pointless things that have no bearing whatsoever on the console turning on and it playing a game.

How long does it take for the code to come through. I bought a game for £1.50 earlier.

They should have told you the code straight away and emailed it to you.

I'm guessing larger unit, more breathing space, separate PSU ... would mean less chance of over heating, which in turn means less chance of developing a fault. If I had to choose between a slightly larger more reliable machine, or a smaller one which may be more susceptible to a fault - I'd go for the larger one.
That said ... I'm sure the Microsoft build quality on the smaller units is fine  ... but some people don't want to take the risk I guess.

It's not like they are marketed as one big more reliable unit and one smaller less reliable one, is it? What a joke. If it breaks you take it back. I do not think there are that many that have faults in the grand scheme of things - last gen, mid cycle gen, whatever gen. If you like the old big unit great, but dont tell me it's better cos its bigger.

No one did, I think you'll find that its YOU saying its better because its smaller.... I merely stated why I think a cooler running device is a bonus FOR ME, learn to read fella :stuck_out_tongue:

Someone said "what does the size matter", questioning my statement the smaller unit to be more desirable - then you joined in. You yourself are suggesting the bigger is the better because of running temp - so you contradict yourself saying "no one is". Maybe you should take some of your own advice on learning to read 'fella' and then check what you write. I went onto say if you prefer the bigger then great and yes I stand by the smaller tech being better. Especially at the same price point which this was. It is the belief of the general population - Tech gets smaller/ more desirable/ more affordable/ more available. You don't always have to go against the grain. Swim with the current. :man:

Cooler running device - it's a mass produced games console. I think we can sleep easy at night with our Xbox One S running temperatures... I shouldn't have given the original person a response - they said it's under a bigger TV - as though that holds any relevance - Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. :man:
JumpMan1980
4 May 17#31
Is there any evidence that there is an increased running temp on the S model? If so, is there any evidence that the increased running temp is a problem?

Why is it a bonus for you? Are you special? Are you different to the rest of us? Do you do something with your xbox that no one else does? The other millions of xbox users? C'mon - know when you are beat. Stop flogging a dead horse! :sunglasses:
