Don't see a reason for someone to actually buy this instead of a 12 months one. Works out £9.99 for 3 months and you could get a whole year for £25-28

Not everybody can afford 30+ quid in one go, or want to be locked in for a year.

Link to £25 would be handy nunoBXD, mine is running out this month.

It's always worth checking on your Xbox One dashboard as 12 months renewal has been offered to quite a few people at £23/24

A deal if you only want 3 months Xbox Live and there's something you want to buy for £5 credit but most people use Xbox Live for far longer periods and £25-£30 for a year is a far better deal.

Well said, I buy 12 months at a time but know plenty of people who dont want to commit to 12 months eg an owner of multiple consoles

Definitely check dash. I've seen the £1 1 month deal return recently. About 5 years ago I did that constant for about 7 months.

A year without discount is £40, or £10 per 3 months. This is £15 with £5 back (which must be spent on Xbox). This would cost you £60 for a year and leave £20 credit on your Xbox (which cannot be used to buy Live). No discount and turns £20 you can use anywhere into xbox specific credit.
My Live is about to expire in a few days, but each time I have let it expire in the last 6 months there has been a discount available on the dashboard - 1 month for £1, another month for £1, and last was 40% off. You don't see the offers on the dashboard until yours has expired.
Then keep an eye out here for the deals which get posted regularly. I have a year for £25 from GAME in the Black Friday sales which I will use if the offer on the dashboard is worse than £2 per month. It's stayed unused this long because the dashboard has kept giving good results.

Where's the deal?
You're paying £60 for 12 months and £20 credit.
Cdkeys are doing 12 months for £35.99.
I don't see the point.

Obviously not everyone wants 12 months
Good price for just 3

Obviously there isn't one right now but wouldn't be the first time at this price. Everyone knows a decent price for Xbox live goes around £25-£28 and PSN £30-£33. People wait for these to stack and save money in the long run. Also if someone only wants a 3 months deal specifically, highly doubt they would even use the £5 credit

Why wouldn't you use the credit?

To be honest my immediate opinion on the deal was average at best.
There has been a number of Wuaki Xbox live deals for 12 months for £29.99 lately. There is usually the Wuaki deals on the Xbox live credit as well. This in comparison is extremely poor value for money.

There are so many blinkered perspectives in this thread....
Have you stopped to consider that many people don't want to sign up for 12 months? People like me, who only play single player campaigns, and don't want multiplayer.
For me, this is a pretty good deal, as I usually only sign up for gold for the odd month when there are decent free "games with gold" games.
There are plenty of scenarios where people don't want 12 months (otherwise why would they sell vouchers for 1 or 3 months)? People might want to just try Gold out for a while, etc...
Try seeing things from someone else's point of view maybe?

Only wanting 3 months seems like a pretty good reason to buy this

I might just buy the 3 months as I only use it for the free games for my old man and his old 360. He doesn't play games online so it's a good deal.
Will have a look at the dashboard offers too - cheers for the info.

I have been a gold member for the past 4 or 5 years but ran out earlier this year and didn't see any offers on my dashboard until the £1/1month came a couple of weeks ago as part of the spring sale (available to everyone). Are these dash offers only available to Xbox One players or what?
Where can I find £25 for 12 months? I used to get codes off eBay or MMOGA for around £20 but they are all bogus or expensive now... :smirk:
