I bought one before posting(very early today), and many stores had some when I did - please don't make assumptions before posting.

It was less about the recharge cycles and the long periods of time it sits in the shed fully charged. Not very good for the cells unfortunately.

I bought the 18v version a few years ago from here for a good price.
Works brilliantly and cannot fault it at all. Been a powerhouse for DIY. Batteries have probably been charged and discharged 10x each and they still have loads of life left.

Wow, recharged a whole TEN TIMES and they STILL hold a good charge?? Lolz. I should think so, too, Li-Ion batteries (as well as decent Ni-MH ones) should take over a thousand recharges before any considerable drop in capacity.

Checking my order I somehow managed to get "Club £10 off when you spend £50" so yes I'm still paying £48 for delivery tomorrow. I was bouncing around voucher sites and fiddling with the order at 5.30AM this morning so didn't notice that happened - I've just tried to work out which code/s were used but can't remember. I realise this is probably a hanging offence on a deal site. Still the submission is correct £5 off with free next day delivery for orders over £50.

Plenty near me too -
Argos has some great deals posted here, but it's luck of the draw your local branch will have enough stock - doesn't mean the deal shouldn't be submitted.

Bought this on offer from Argos last year. Worked a treat screwing the decking together. Batteries last well between charges too!

these are only 1.5ah batteries though not the 4ah version which was £85 at wickes recently with 2 x 4ah packs which sell for £50 quid each. Good drill though and powerful have to handle with care.

I bought this with one battery for about 35 quid, maybe 6 months ago and have only charged the battery once...not because it ran out, just because I thought it must be due by now. I'd used it occasionally, but on some occasions for quite a length of time.
With two batteries, this is going to last you... I dare say most will rarely need to swap batteries in a day, but hey it's a good backup if you forget to charge one. For this price, if you don't have a decent, robust drill driver, I recommend this one.
