It states RRP of £299.99 on the website - what a load of rubbish... if anyone buys these at that price, they need their head tested...

The two wheeled version is also on offer at Tesco for basically the same price and they are often reduced to a similar price - I paid £19 from ASDA for the hand carry.

Regarding the 4 wheeled version, think before you buy them - lots of 4 wheeled bags get damaged (the wheels) as they stick out and this is why you can now buy 4 wheeled bags with the wheels that can be replaced or removed. I think it's better to get the two wheeled version with 1/2 enclosed wheels (to reduce the risk of damage - never had a problem with mine).

Regarding the 10 year guarantee - If you have tried to claim (I have), you will find it is NOT that easy - they do NOT cover if your bag was damaged from when you check in to when you collect your bag - this is down to the airline. I claimed as my handle snapped and i got mine replaced.

Please see my comments on the Tesco thread, but to sum it up - great hand carry bags, but i would not trust them for your main luggage - not really strong enough for 20kg+

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/luggage-20-off-tesco-instore-online-2683966?p=30810112

Maybe fine for an odd trip a year, but personally i am voting cold for the large luggage....

If you want the hand luggage.. it's cheaper at Tesco and ASDA and i think they are great...

There is a fine line between a manufacturing issue and airport handling. Should the fabric come off from its corner? Is this due to handling or a manufacturing fault? Retailers such as Tesco will just replace as they have the clout to seek reimbursement from IT Luggage and really don't care. Tesco often will not even inspect goods. They replace or refund.

It was because at the time the warranty stated that it was only valid for manufacturing defaults and damage caused by airlines/mishandling had to be taken up with them. As I only properly noticed the extent of the damage when i got to the hotel it was then too late to complain to the airport as you are meant to do that before leaving the airport. So all in all the warrenty is worth very little.

Similar complaints can be found in this old thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/ask/worlds-lightest-luggage-10-year-guarantee-sounds-good-2016818

Anyone that is carrying anything near the limits that are imposed for airline hold baggage is taking way too much!

One pair of swimming shorts, pants and T shirt is all you need if going somewhere hot. You will be wearing next to nothing most of the day - more than enough time to entice a partner if they like the look of your body!

As an aside - why do really fat people go to hot places but keep covered up and in the shade all day?

Is it seriously because of the All Inclusive food?

Also when you need a seatbelt extension on the plane - is this not a wake up call?

I know some people have Thyroid issues and are big boned - but what about the rest who just can't stop stuffing their pieholes?

I don't want your blubber encroaching on the exact same seat I have paid for.

Anyone over 20 stone should be made to pay £100 per stone over that. Seriously, that is a fair weight - no matter how tall you are!!

That's a lot of angst in one post lol. Seriously though it is odd that a person weighing 10 stone has to pay crazy excess baggage charges to take a few extra kilos "because it costs the airline in extra fuel charges" yet a person weighing double doesn't pay any extra for their personal baggage.

Some serious prejudice there - guess you have never been subject to any prejudice or you would never inflict it on other people like that??? You may be interested to know Tyson Fury is 18.5 stone when at fighting weight, Joshua just under so your 20 stone statement is very sweeping. Watch out for karma. It's a bitch.

What about if you're not going anywhere hot? One pair of jeans to wear all week?
You're forgetting people who go away with kids, and any 'fun' things to do while your away or while on the plane. Also for me at least, DSLR camera with lenses, camcorder, mobile phone charger, tablet(s) and possibly sat-nav for car hire.
As for your precious space in the plane, you gave up that right when you boarded sharing the same germs / BO / last minute duty-free aftershave spraying frenzy fragrances we all have to endure in a tightly confined tin can. If you want space, earn enough money to go 1st class or drive yourself to your holiday destination. I'm speaking as a man approaching 18st. who carries it fairly well for 6ft. 4. I'm sorry my arms don't retract back into my torso for you, and my knees are so squashed against the seat in front I can feel the person in front's bowel movements. If the airline asked if I want to buy the additional 5-10% space you won't be using, I might take them up on it.

Didn't you try the 10-year warranty?

For any warranty claim refused, threaten legal action, file online (MCOL). I do not know of a single company that would spend £2k to defend in a small claims court as costs are not recoverable. They always settle. It's not worth their time defending (or yours - but it gives satisfaction).

Most airlines will give you 20kg but with the XL size if you fill it means that you would be way over 20kg. If you put 20kg in it it ends up swilling about inside the case. I have the XL size and if it is for going to Europe for your 2 weeks would recommend the smaller size.

Tesco replaced mine. I.T. Luggage refused saying it was up to the retailer in the first year. If it rips, of course it did so whilst you were travelling in the UK and not by aeroplane! You also need to keep the 10-year warranty label for a claim against I.T. luggage. I suspect the warranty is worthless - just like Samsung phones. I only purchased from Tesco as they were on offer for £20 for a medium 1.5 years ago. Else, I think they are generally overpriced and not durable for aeroplane check in, which is the only time I would use them.

I suppose graphene suitcases will be better!
