Have used 25mm screws for fixing gripper rods and there only 99p anyway. In the bitumized floor in the living room didn't need to use rawlplugs,secrewed in and held well where as if used nails chance of cracking the bitumen.

Useless for most things just over a cm long.. Depends on floor board thickness and gripper rod thickness normally at least 15 mm required
