Base are now offering the slipcase and themes with pre orders, they have since yesterday. Existing pre orders get the slipcase and themes also. You get exactly the same at Base but for a lower price

Only suggested the delete, as it was posted earlier and then suddenly vanished. Looked more like due to request in case it went cold..

Shame it's just a sleeve rather than an actual case. Not a fan of Base to be fair, have had things late from them before.

This makes me suspect that other retailers offering the SteelBook may also end up including the slipcase too... time will tell!

On Facebook and Twitter they mention you can get the slipcase from shopto and grainger and "other independent retailers"

Shopto seems to be either the slipcase or the Steelbook, both at different prices.

Indeed... I'm sticking with Amazon for now, to have both the standard case and SteelBook. It seems somewhat counterintuitive to combine the SteelBook and the slipcase, to be honest, as you'd be covering up the SteelBook that you're paying a premium for!

I've got a digital pre-order, steelbook and standard order and one for the retro slip case atm. I had another steelbook order too, but I've cancelled that now.

Think I'm gonna keep my preorder still with Amazon have the Steelbook edition coming with uncharted and crash bandicoot for £74 plus they will most likely price match to so may still go cheaper

Certainly - it would hardly be right for me to post my query but not share the response. Going by the above, though, we may have a (positive) answer already.

XDev posted a list of retailers earlier today on Twitter. base.com wasn't on it, nor was Amazon.

yeah I asked two separate cs reps. the first went away for about 5 minutes and came back with a will have to refer it to another department response. a couple hours later I spoke to another who again went away and came back confirming extremely positively that there edition also does come with the PS1 retro style sleeve and advised me to order it from them, which I have.

Can't wait for Psygnosis to release this on the Xbox...

Anyone get the 4 themes that was meant to be included? My steel book was battered when it arrived wedged in with the regular box and sleeve from Grainger games.
