i was under the impression they only sell 1 that keeps breaking so gets returned, fixed, put back on shelf, for the next poor sole to buy it. :smirk:

the handle will probably break off if you filled it with water. if you read the comments you'd realise it broke without containing anything in it!

But a Hozelock sprayer. 5 times the money but will last you forever . This will leak from the valve when you pump it up after a dozen or so times of usage.

Anyone know if I could use this to apply brick acid?

Not a good idea to spray acid into the air...
use a paint roller on a pole and then dispose of it.

No. You'll need an expert present so I can advise, guide and film you otherwise you'll look like that guy in James Bond after he puts the shark gun pellet in his mouth.

I use a Spear and Jackson sprayer for doing that job on my flat roofs that get moss (epdm and fibre glass). I use patio magic, so any sprayer should work. Remember to always let the air out after wards so as to prolong the one way valve

Not sure mate, most people don't paint their fences round here, they use the thinner preservative, I would probably guess that you would need to water paint down or the jet may block?!?! At this price, you could just buy it and see, if it doesn't work, just clean it well and save it for later, theres bound to be another use for it eventually

[quote=118luke]Anyone used these for spraying wood preserver onto a fence?(quote]
Yes will work : Make sure wood treatment is dirt free (if dirty stray it through some old tights). watch out for the over spray? make sure NO WIND. it will travel and cover everything.
P,S Normal water based wood treatment should be OK, If however you should be using spirit based, you will have to clean the bottle out, worst scenario it will clog the nose up,
Hope it was helpfull

I've been using those buckets for years now! Since the plastic bag charge has been introduced, I've been purchasing a bucket instead when I am in Wickes purchasing stuff that would have gone in a bag.

Perfect for when your kids take a dip in the sea, then come back covered in nappies, wet wipes and god knows what else. No longer shall you have to explain to child protective services that the bruises on your kids are from using a power washer on them.

Yes, it does work, a little messy and you get the occasional blockage in the nozzle but loads cheaper than the proper sprayers. As soon as your finished flush with water and your good to go next year
