Update: Metro checkout assistant was lovely, customer service desk/lotto kiosk couldn't even excuse herself between me and customer in front of me when a member of staff wanted her attention, nor apologise for the wait, lack of manners there let alone staff training! Much better than further north tho! :smiley:

They are all meant to walk you to find a item and check stock levels in the back - Tesco policy, I've reported a few staff, several of the same people - and Tesco store management don't follow company policy in stores properly - Managers fail Tesco. I'm in Edinburgh this weekend will post a update if I make a Tesco visit!

I'd pay £10 to tear and share my regions Tesco staff, most of them are rude and think you are a inconvenience when wanting help - you know, us that pay the wages!

My sister is staying for a few days with me and we popped into Tesco (Colinton) last night. I couldn't see something I needed and an assistant took me to where it was. My sister was astonished at how friendly and cheery the staff were here as she said the ones at the store nearest her (Bidston) were miserable so and so's who just said ' out of stock" if you needed help. Obviously, helpfulness is not national!
